Now that I’m in my late 30s, I’ve figured out certain things that make life easier. Cutting pizza with scissors. Choosing an aisle seat on the plane. Meeting at the restaurant.
And this summer, my new game-changer sounds random but feels revolutionary: wearing midi dresses. It’s a style that is ready for adventures. One night this week, I took the boys to the playground. Instead of tugging on a shorter dress, or sweating in pants, or feeling weird in shorts, I wore a midi dress that felt so comfortable. I could picnic on the grass, climb up the slide and lean over to scoop up a certain fussy five-year-old — yet still head out to dinner with Alex afterward. Bottom line: Midi dresses for the win.
Here are five lovely versions: block print, breezy, floral, wrap and date night.
What do you think? What are you wearing on repeat these days?
P.S. An underwear trick, and what shoes do you wear to work?
