Looks aside, I don’t think my personality could pull one of these off! I somehow always end up being “even-beth” – even Beth doesn’t like xyz… even Beth thinks it’s funny… even Beth wants to go for a drink. I’ve always been such a dag and although I think these tops are sweet they would make me feel like a good little kid dressed up to go to Sunday school!

I think these look lovely on other people but it’s a hard pass for me. Reminds me too much of the ‘poet blouses’ that were briefly in style in the mid-ninties when I was in junior high. I had this one that I wore all the time and now cringe to think of it. I’m much more of a menswear inspired style person anyway and tend to stay away from ruffles. But more power to the Barbs/pirates/poets out there! :-D

I adore the Zara blouse pictured! I know that it’s probably not on trend this year, but I have 2 fur vest (one real, that I spent entirely too much money on, and one that is totally fake and cheap and has still lasted me about 6 years!) and I LOVE the easy look of layers them over feminine blouses. It’s just so easy, and once I add a felt hat, it’s instantly put together and chic (even with bad hair!) Ahhh, I love fall!

The blouse is very pretty but: I’m writing because today I went to a book shop to get something to read and I came across Paul’s book, translated to my native Polish. My heart started racing: I felt so excited to put my hands on this book because I remember the story of Paul, so touching, painful and yet beautiful, that you shared some time ago. This book is just ‘unputdownable’ and so significant. As beautiful as I found Paul in it. Sending all my love to your sister, her daughter and you all the way from Warsaw, Poland

I love this look but, living in Utah and having long hair, unfortunately I worry it might come off as a bit polygamist-y! I think it’s interesting that different clothes can make completely different impressions depending on where you are.
