wow, LOVE it.
that’s really cool!
i love this post! this is sooo awesome.
Love it – I once saw a similar project where the old photo showed a completely different landscape from the present-day one…I think it may have been a shelf of Antarctica? In any case, I’ll send it your way if I find it :)
I love this project. It would be interesting to do this as a personal project, to go back and visit places in family photos and see how they have changed.
Such a cool idea.
We actually did this same thing – Sean’s parents, at our age, took their photos in San Francisco at Coit Tower. We went back to the same exact spots and took our photo…then made them a framed “us and them” picture! It was a huge hit!
This is brilliant.. I love getting a peek at the past!
So awesome! :)
this is fabulous! I’ve seen it somewhere else and just love the series.
I love, love, love these! What a brilliant idea.
This is a great concept to do with locations that have a special meaning or family history behind them. I’m totally going to try this.
Oh this looks lovely! :)
It definitely brightened up my day!
Thanks dear!
Holy crud these are amazing. Why didn’t I think of that! :P
Coolest thing I’ve seen in awhile. I’m a teeny bit irritated that I didn’t think of it. Oh well.
oh man, that is so cool. I agree, that would be a great coffee table book; I can’t imagine the attention to detail it takes to track down the exact spot to match them up.
Nice. I love these.
That would make a great coffee table book.
What a clever idea! I have a coffee table book that shows Seattle back in the day
tricky-tricky!!!
artists are so witty…
Lovely day Joanna~
oh, love!
I love these – what a genius idea!
that’s such a great idea for a photo series
I tell ya, some people are so creative. I love it!
gorgeous photos!
i love this. spending time here in england always makes me think about the history of it. thinking about all the different people who have walked the same streets for hundreds of years. i love it!
oh these are so cool! what a brilliant concept :)
Astonishing! The landscape is eerie, but the photo with the seated woman is even more so. But eerie in the best way … the way thought-provoking art ought to be.
i’m often times haunted by old photos, but this is so fascinating!
So neat! I love this idea.
so clever!! Thanks!
You are finding some amazing photography lately!! This is so neat.
