Whenever I’m watching a movie or TV show, I find myself noticing one thing…
The placement of each character’s blush. How do they make it look so natural…
and glowy…
…and flirty?
Well, on a recent team call, contributing editor Kaitlyn shared a TikTok discovery: “I’m never sure how to apply blush,” she told us. “But the other day, I fell down a rabbit hole of TikTok beauty hacks and found this pro tip.”

In the video, Sharon Lee puts a dollop of blush on the base of her palm. She then rubs her palms together and gently presses them against her cheekbones. The end result is a soft, luminous flush that looks like she just got back from a brisk walk.
My friend Jessica tried it, too, and sent these selfies. How pretty does she look? “I’m not the best makeup artist, but this looked natural on the first try,” she said. “I sometimes forget about blush but now I’m going incorporate it into my daily routine. I realized it’s the thing I was missing.”
As for products? Jessica used this nude cheek cream in Waking Up. “For more of a poppy red, I also love this multi-stick in Dear Ruby,” she told me. On her eyes, she’s wearing ILIA mascara and brow gel (my long-time favorites, too).

Thoughts? Would you try this? What makeup moves are you doing these days?
P.S. A French lipstick trick, and Jannelle tries five summer makeup looks.
