What little things are you secretly good at? I’m curious to know. Here are ours…
“I can fold a fitted bedsheet,” says our partnerships manager Maureen. “I grab the corners underneath the scrunchy part, so the sheet is square with the scrunchy part in the middle. Then you fold it again.” Um, what? Here’s a helpful gif. “I can also pick up anything with my toes,” she added.
Jenny can juggle a soccer ball on her knees. Kim can wiggle her ears. Caroline can remember song lyrics, to everything, forever. (“Including the soundtracks to Disney movies I haven’t seen in 25 years,” she says, “and the entire catalog of Simon and Garfunkel.”)
Personally, I always know what time it is, without looking at a watch or phone. Even if I wake up in the middle of the night, I’ll instantly think, ‘It’s 4:25,’ and then I’ll look at the clock and I’ll be like a minute off. I don’t know why, I can just tell. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
My opposite of a secret talent, if we’re going there, is repeating a joke. If I’m trying to retell a joke from a TV show or movie, I’ll COMPLETELY butcher the delivery by inadvertently laughing hysterically and then forgetting the punchline right as I get to the end. I’m forever saying, “I swear it was really funny on the show.”
So, tell us, what are you secretly good at? Doing celebrity impersonations? Arriving at places right on time? Making the best scrambled eggs on the planet? I want to hear…
P.S. The hardest tongue twister, and a killer strawberry cake.
