This is too adorable!
I totally get the relief that seeing a cartoon that reflects one’s own inherent awkwardness and insecurities can give you, but I feel like the total amount of ‘Look at my lack of lifeskills’ in this series is becoming too much . It’s becoming a bit manic pixie dreamgirl-ey to me. I feel like the central character is becoming too one-sided. I don’t mean that she should be all fierce all of the sudden, but maybe get angry? Get excited about something? Really want something? Be greedy? <3
xoxo and total blog love and devotion from Denmark
A new Mari Andrew illustration is a highlight of my week! She is always so spot on. Motion-activated sinks are the bane of my existence.
Funny! I’ve often stood at the sink trying to get the water to come out, waving my hands around. It is humbling… and a little embarrassing:)
it helps to look for the red sensor panel and subtly wriggle your fingers in front of it to activate the water flow! learnt this through painful lessons in ego lol
“Your other left! ” Ha! Always happens to me….
Oh, that Looking into the future article was the best thing I read in a long. Bought real tears of joy into my eyes and reminded me that as a mother we just have to love and trust our kids.❤️ Thank you for sharing
I’m actually pretty sure that I have never opened a bottle of wine successfully…ever.
True! Also when I try to flag a cab in a foreign city. No clue!
Brilliant! I LOL’ed and agree 100% with all (except replace air conditioner with anything touching my car).
This made me laugh..which I needed. Thank you! And yes, absolutely, to toddlers.
Fun fact about motion activated sinks that is more horrible than fun: they are specifically designed to be more effective on light-to medium skin tones, so if you can’t get one to work, it’s just your daily (hourly) dose of racism.
oh my gosh hahahhah these are always so on point!!!
i can NEVER do motion activated sinks! what is the trick????
My hands are too small for motion activated sinks. The sensor can never see me. I avoid public restrooms at all costs whenever possible.
speaking of avoiding public restrooms, i met a woman last year who said public bathrooms are her biggest phobia. she has a kids potty-training potty in her car for when she needs to pee when she’s away from her house! i thought i was so fascinating how she (and people in general, myself included) work around their fears.
Motion activated sinks LOL. So true! Also trying to get multiple quick errands done with toddlers. The ultimate humblining experience!
hahaha i’m so that person at the airport who is like, so wait, am i doing this wrong? is there a foot pedal??
Yes to toddlers foiling anything ego-involved!
