Since we’ve been spending more time indoors during these darker months, we have a new game we play in the evenings. Instead of having a regular dessert, the boys will close their eyes and open their mouths, and I’ll give them treats they’ll try to identify.
Closing your eyes while opening your mouth is easier said than done. :) Anton usually needs a few tries.
The suspense!
A few typical items: An M&M, chocolate chips, a Skittle, a Bitsy’s alphabet cookie, a Swedish fish, a strawberry, a chocolate-covered raisin, a slice of banana…
And then some dancing on the coffee table, of course.
Do you have any evening rituals, or bedtime routines you love? I’d love to hear…
P.S. Trying out slow parenting, and how to get picky kids to eat (for real).
