Have you seen The Invite? Since friends kept raving about it, I decided to queue it up this week with a bowl of pasta on the sofa. Basically, an unhappily married couple invites their sexy neighbors over for dinner, and the night leads to unexpected places. The characters really rang true, and it was much funnier than I’d expected. Here’s a behind-the-scenes video where director Olivia Wilde talks about building tension: “We are isolated in this one apartment together, this pressure cooker; the air is thick with tension, and here we are, trying to wish it away with social niceties.”
