Driving my daughter and her friend around recently, while they were complaining about a particular friend of theirs, I couldn’t help but laugh when my daughter’s friend concluded with, “and she borrowed my favourite pyjama pants and still hasn’t given them back!”. As if that was the final straw! LOL

Hahaha i’m here for the comments on good puberty. my 11 year-old boy is very dismayed by all the body hair that is starting. I keep telling him it is normal, and that his dad has the same thing. he told me that I probably have more than his dad! this is unfortunately true because my ancestors come from Eastern Europe and his dad is indigenous Mexican lol
Unrelated to teen carpool comments, but I just read Grace’s graphic novel/memoir this week and it was so wonderful, I want everyone else to read it, too! Grace, thank you for putting your pictures and story out into the world. It’s going on my gift list for all the doctors in my life.

These are so great. I recently heard in my carpool, “I heard AI is going to replace athletes. But WHY.”
these are so funny and relatable! The things kids say to each other when they don’t think parents or grownups are listening! I often drive carpool for my 8 year old daughter and her friends, and my favorite thing I hear at this point is the uncontrollable giggles from the backseat! The other moms are so grateful that I am willing to drive, but those giggles do more for me than I am doing for them. Knowing that my daughter has these sweet friends to share life with just makes my heart so happy. Yeah for the carpool!
Carpool is the best. Say nothing and observe everything.

These are insanely adorable! I’m a pediatrician mom to boys 11, 16, and 18, and tweens and teens are a hoot:)
I work at a teen mentoring program. Yesterday I overheard one kid say to his friend who was selecting a piece of candy: “You would pick Nerds, man, you’re so esoteric.” Brilliant!

I understand that dystopian YA’s Whole Deal is that puberty and its side quests feel like the end of the world, but boy, puberty sure felt like The Hunger Games, except there was NO CINNA. May the odds be ever in your favor, carpoolers!
