Weekends are for o.j. By the brilliant Grace Farris.
P.S. Best Friday nights and dinner plans.
This is hilarious, I love it. Perhaps on the occasions when I offer a haphazard selection of dishes, I’ll create a menu and serve it course by course! It seems like something my kids would like!
I’ve 100% given in to this for the last 2 years as my adventurous eating babe turned into a typical toddler. We’ll balanced = well fed in my book and I don’t feel a bit bad about it. I didn’t like beets, deviled eggs, or Brussels sprouts until 20+. Why would my kiddo? Rest easy parents.
hah i’ve met many a kiddie bowl of pasta doused only in Bragg’s aminos and/or a side of ketchup to dip into
Love this!
About once a week my husband makes the kids a dinner menu with all of the easy to make foods they like. They order their dinner like “I’ll have dry toast, a cup of kefir, and a cutie” and “microwaved chicken nuggets, string cheese, and apple slices please.” Fun for them and gives us a break from needing to decide what’s for dinner AGAIN.
Husbands who cook and clean are SO HOT. Sounds fun!
Welcome to the toddlers’ table every night at 5:30pm!!
Yes, this was how it was at my house for a few years!
hahaha i love this!
Haha! Love this!
Cute!
My son’s Thanksgiving menu: turkey sandwich (no crusts!), baby carrots, a mini-cheese (I should really buy stock in that company), a cutie. Will he eat like this at 30? Sigh.
My 5 yo picky eater was proud going into Thanksgiving, since “I eat turkey all the time!” Phew. He sits down at the table, looks at his plate with a pile of plain turkey, and was puzzled. “Why isn’t the turkey round?” He was expecting lunchmeat. Scraped off the marvelous turkey, replaced it with lunchmeat. He’s since reminded us each holiday that he has the “flat turkey”.
haha this is great. maybe i’ll draw up a menu for the nights when i serve a random assortment of items and serve it course by course! I think my kids would get a kick out of it!
and infinite cucumber slices.
Haha!
I love this but I really lost it when I got to strawberries. I always feel like an ace mom when I put strawberries on the table. “That’s a good source of vitamin c!”
