Let’s not forget checking cup of joe for new post #guilty
It’s freezing in Chicago and I decided to stay inside (yep, doggo had to use pads today).
Seems like the perfect time to “get stuff done”…
so far I’ve cooked a little, played word games online, shushed the dog 500 times, actually took my daily vitamin for the first time in a week and read COJ archives going back 3-4 years.I have sooooo much on my retiree to-do list that I can’t even look at it (them) anymore, but I trust that there’s a tomorrow waiting for me!🤗
Bottom line,I have to allow myself to be happy and guilt-free about what wasn’t accomplished today!
Always the design detour 😂
Hi Cup of Jo team, I’m having a problem reaching the comments on your blog posts on my iPhone. The comments don’t fit to my screen size but it’s not letting me scroll left to read the whole comment (if that makes sense), so I’m missing quite a bit of the text. The blog post is mobile responsive – it’s just the comments.
I have all of these and those mentioned in the comments, too!
OMG 100% me!!!! Especially the elementary school crush! Lol!
I need a print of this to hang above my desk.
That’s my protip: procrastination doesn’t exist, it’s called warm up before very important task. Just make it part of your necessary routine (as it should be).
Yeahhh love this! Thank you for reframing the word/behaviour :).
Mine: Dozens of website tabs, each with shopping carts full of stuff that I’m never going to click “buy” on.
So funny & true! 🤣
Let’s not forget procrasticleaning and procrastilaundry.
Yes! I do these most!
100%
And then I feel vaguely productive but still haven’t done what “needs” to be done. Helpful / not helpful all at the same time.
Haha…..all of the above and the COJ comments rabbit hole.
I’ve done all of these this morning alone.
omg “this recipe shouldn’t take long” is my life. I’m a very experienced cook and baker but still TERRIBLE at estimating how long a new recipe will take me
Oh yes, totally down the CoJ comments Rabbit Hole, and CoJ in general. And I believe the cooking procrastination is officially called procrasti-cooking.
Don’t forget the CoJ Comments Rabbit Hole…
HAHAHAHA! Totally
Good lord yes. I keep refreshing the pro tips post in particular…

"For a split second, you think, how am I gonna help a white baby out? But then it was like, 'This is a baby, girl. Get it together.'"
Until then, I had lived a small life, trying to tiptoe through the world.
