Aint that the truth! I fortunately live in Oklahoma where we experience all of the seasons, so I can relate! The frigid Oklahoma winds these days make me miss the nice, warm zephyrs of spring!
All my dreams are of spring and fall, which may actually be mythical seasons. In Iowa we tend to go from sweltering heat and humidity (“swamp ass” is a thing here) to winter coats and air so dry that it’s hard to tell if it’s snowing or just your dead skin flying around.
Except I’m thinking about how lovely winter is in both! I know winter is a rough time for so many but, for those like me who suffer from seasonal depression in the summer rather than the winter, things are really lookin’ up.
….and the people who complain all summer because it’s hot and all winter because it’s cold (especially those who complain all winter and then sit inside in AC all summer…) I say, pick one! I complain in the winter and bask in the heat all summer, no complaints!
It’s coming into summer here in Australia, & I live by the beach so it is usually my favourite time – I think I might be part fish. But just a minute ago I thought “I really wish it was freezing and I could wear a winter coat” (it’s never that cold here).
It’s funny on the West Coast (lived here my whole life) because all my East Coast and Mid-West friends say we don’t get real seasons (or we only have 2). I don’t know about that. I really enjoy all the seasons here. I’ve even lived in San Francisco for ten years now and I still see the seasons. Maybe it’s just season-lite on the West Coast.
So accurate except I am the left side every day in Los Angeles!
I hate it when people bring up fall/winter during summer, when I’m trying to soak up every last bit of warmth and trying to pretend winter doesn’t exist!
Ditto!
same!! I hate cold weather so much that I have no tolerance for that kind of behavior haha.
This Saturday, we visited some friends on Fire Island...
