What are you up to this weekend? We are just “knocking around,” as Alex says. I’m hoping he’ll make zucchini soup, and maybe we’ll watch a movie during the day, one of life’s great pleasures. Hope you have a good one, and here are a few fun links from around the web…

Plus, three reader comments:
Says Maryn on what do you eat the day after Thanksgiving: “One year, my brother layered Thanksgiving leftovers into a cup like it was a parfait. We all followed suit, and honestly, it was kind of amazing.”
Says Anne on are you friends with any older women: “I think the reason why I’ve never been scared of growing old is because of all the amazing older women I’ve known throughout my life. I remember having my childhood pastor stay with us during a snowstorm, with his mother and mother-in-law in tow. These ladies were in their upper 80’s/early 90’s and were flirting with my older brother, laughing hysterically, teaching us games, and making this snowstorm a blast. My sister and I gave up our beds for them and they left thank-you notes under the pillows, which made us feel so grown-up and like we were being acknowledged for our small sacrifice. I just love older ladies.”
Says Emma on what’s your relationship status: “Single AF but also feeling at peace about it for the first time — maybe ever! — in my 32 years. Twenty-five-year-old-me would have been texting all her old flames, looking for a feeling. Summer was a bit of a doozy for me this year, and since fall emerged, I’ve returned to myself in a way I can only explain as being in flow. I am grateful for my wise/kind/BEAUTIFUL friends and family, an apartment to myself that allows for hour-long midday baths and naked breakfast-making, and of course my girl pup, Robin, who is my first and longest soulmate thus far. I am hopeful for the future and whomever walks into it, because I feel at ease with the present. God bless a vibrator, though.”
