I love wishing on stars! Years (and years) ago I used to watch four children while their mom worked as a nurse and dad was in Navy, deployed overseas. Many nights we’d go out and wish on the first star we’d each see. Each of the kids would point at “theirs” and say their wish … The 6yo would pick a star and secretly wish, the 4yo would always point at a porch light way away exclaim that she already found a star and make her wish for daddy to come home soon and the 2yo twins would say, “yes! Daddy come home!” I still smile thinking of her finding her own “star”. <3
