Very disappointed because the code worked at first and then upon payment reverted to the original price. Might have been a sign because the pair I REALLY wanted was out of stock :).

I bought the huaraches a few weeks ago based on CoJ’s recs, and so far they have murdered my feet. I tried to break them in at home, then went on a 30 min walk in my neighborhood and they left my heels and some toes bleeding. Still can’t wear them a week later. Any suggestions how to soften them up??

These were exactly the sandals I’d been looking for — covered toe, bit of a cushioned sole, real leather — but I had to return them as well. I couldn’t even walk around the house in them. I even tried two different sizes to no avail.

I will say that their customer service was very helpful and they processed the return very quickly.

I wore mine around the house with socks until they softened up. Mine are super comfy now. Not supportive enough to wear on a long walk, but they’re great for when I want to look cute but don’t want open toed sandals.

I’ve worn mine with thick socks around the house to help stretch them out of a bit. Good luck! Once they soften up, they’re great!

That Simone crossbody bag in !IVORY! is the answer to my prayers, thank you! I am a simple girl, and I can find plenty of handbags that are a nightmare of overdone hardware and limited practical use. Tough to find a plain beauty like this one in a light color that is leather and not canvas. Oh, happy day!

Just a warning: the third time I bought flats from them, the parcel never arrived and they refused to look into it. Their proposed solution was that I could buy another pair — but they wouldn’t refund me for the ones that never showed up! It took ages speaking with a couple of very bored, thick-headed, passive aggressive staff before they reluctantly issued a refund.

I love love love the B corporation highlight! I’m trying to buy more ethically and to think more about the (most likely) woman who helped to make what I wear. It’s so much more special for me to wear them and think about about a woman making the shoes to support my feet and my buying the shoes supports a living wage for her. I hope you make bank off this partnership! I’d never heard of Nisolo before COJ and have bought three pairs over the last few years, and will continue to be a customer for years and years. Blog/instagram advertisements often seem so blah to me, and I love when COJ is able to recommend something that feels genuine and stylish. This brand in particular has always seemed like a great fit :)

Speaking of shoes… what do people who walk a lot wear in the summer? I want something more delicate than a sneaker or a Birkenstock (which don’t work for me!) but I don’t want straps or buckles digging into my skin, hard soles or Poor back support! Is that literally impossible? I have a few sandals that are perfectly fine for running errands but NOT good for walking a lot, and that’s what I’ve wanted for years! Help!

I love to wear Chacos during the summer. They’re not the most attractive sandals, but they’re so comfortable for walking. I tend towards having a lot of back and foot pain, and they feel great to wear.

I’m into Taos…sooooo comfortable! I can’t wear Birks or anything too flat; my feet are too flat for them! Taos are not B Corp, unfortunately. I’m plannning to give Nisolo a try, they have some pretty pairs!

Dear Rose, I bought the Z Trail sandals by Xero Shoes last year and have worn them all summer. They have flat soles and the straps don’t cut into my skin.

Hi Rose – I LOVE Rockport’s Cobb Hill line, that I actually found thanks to the comments section here on CoJ a few years ago! They are cute and really comfortable and I can walk a long time in them. I’d recommend Oesh sandals. They have 2 basis styles, are made to order, and made in Charlottesville, VA. The straps are soft, the sole is bouncy and you can walk miles in them with no blisters or sore spots. Sign up for their email list so you can be notified about special offers. I feel you! I want the benefits of an athletic shoe but cute and summery- not easy! Have you tried Kork Ease? I brought my Myrna sandals to Italy for 3 very hot summer weeks and wore them nearly every day. The position of the buckles is comfortable and can stay on loose. I walked a ton and had two kids and a stroller with me and they were as good as I could have hoped for with my challenging feet!

Just recently bought the Serena sandals in rose to wear for my October wedding! Very excited to have wedding day shoes I’m positive I will wear all the time afterwards and then get to say to myself, “I wore these at my wedding!”

Congrats! I had two pairs of shoes at my wedding – heels for the dance floor and green sandals for the outdoors ceremony & hubs had green converse. It’s been so much fun wearing ’em again and again, remembering the special day.

I always want to like these but…they seem so narrow! I’ve got narrow ankles but a wider toe box and it’s always so hard to find good (comfortable/supportive + fashionable) shoes…anybody have any magic suggestions, whether Nisolo or another ethical brand?

I bought some ankle boots through the CoJ site link a while back. I had to return them, though they were so beautiful. They are definitely stiff and have to be worn in, I guess. Not super comfy at first.

If you like barefoot shoes there’s a wonderful company in Greece called Drifter Leather, family-owned, handmade, and they completely customise. And they’re reasonably priced. Pricey, but reasonable :)

I love this brand. Like, love them. And I only say that about 3-5 companies max. I own two pairs of their slip on oxfords for work and two pairs of Huaraches. They are beautiful and really well made (and I do a number on my shoes!)
