A Gift to Give Yourself

Dame Sex Toys

Finding small ways to care for yourself has never felt more important. As we head into winter, we’re trying to incorporate rituals that feel relaxing, rejuvenating and empowering. Luckily, Dame has just the thing…

Founded by two women, a sexologist and an engineer, Dame aims to “make the world a happier place, one vulva at a time.” We love their mission — to close the pleasure gap and enhance intimacy for all women. Just as importantly, we love their products. Dame has a variety of incredible vibrators, in different shapes, sizes, and materials, so there’s something for everyone.

They are perhaps best known for the Eva II, the ingenious hands-free vibrator that stays in place during sex. (You can also use it with your hands and on your own.)

The Pom is the best of all worlds — its soft, flexible body is waterproof, designed for both broad and targeted stimulation, and is small enough to nestle comfortably in the palm of your hand.

Last but not least, the Arc has a squishy tip with a stimulating ridge and a long handle to help you find just the right spot. Like many of Dame’s toys, it’s fully waterproof.

Have you tried Dame vibrators? If so, which one did you choose? (This is amazing, too.) They are truly life-changing, and we can’t recommend them enough.

Great news: Dame is offering 15% off all first-time purchases with code CUPOFJO15. Thank you so much!

So, sorry to say but, I tried a Dame vibrator (the Eva) and it was just ok – it comes nowhere remotely close to how amazing the We-Vibe Nova is. Now THAT one is truly life-changing.

  2. Agnès says...

    Honestly they all look fantastic.

  3. riye says...

We pared down Christmas this year so I was just thinking about getting a small something for myself… but I was thinking about a new cat. :-D

  4. Abbie says...

Purchased fin and arc from recommendations here and wow. Complete game changer for me. The fin had something of a battery issue that I haven’t figured out but the arc is my new best friend during sexy time.

  5. Lilly says...

Any suggestions for a first time user? (Most likely solo use initially)

    • Catherine says...

I tried the Eva II and it’s a great idea, but it doesn’t work well. I found that the vibration gets absorbed by your fingers if you’re holding it. I think there is one more specifically designed for solo use, but I haven’t checked it out yet. Maybe the Pom?

    • Dana says...

Lilly, I LOVE my Pom. Perfect for solo use. No real bells and whistles, but DELIVERS. Would recommend to anyone.

    • Jessica says...

Lilly, I agree with Dana about the Pom. It’s perfect for solo use and pretty simple/intuitive. I have it and love it!

  6. Anna says...

Oi, just yesterday I left my vibrator on the bed by accident, and my son (9) found it in the afternoon. He pushed buttons and I could see his eyes light up, thinking it must have some hidden cool functions since it’s vibrating (can it blink, make noises, jump?) Iquickly put it away and evadet his questions. But now he thinks it’s a mystery christmas gift for him.*cringe*

    • Joanna Goddard says...

      hahahaha I love it, Anna!

    • Catherine says...

Right there with ya, Anna! My toddler loves to run in and grab my vibrator, saying “Whats DIS!?”…. Don’t worry about it, my baby.

    • Trish says...

I’ve also had this happen with my kiddos (ages 9 & 7). I’m trying to model sex positivity for them, so we had a discussion about it. They asked what it was, and I replied something along the lines of “well, you know how sometimes you rub your penis and it feels good? These are vibrators that women can use to rub against their vaginas to make themselves feel good. It’s a private thing.” They seemed satisfied with my response! We shall see how that answer works long-term!

    • Joanna Goddard says...

Wow, I love how honest and open you were, Trish!

    • Ramya says...

This is happened to me so many a time as well with my kid, including with other people around (cringe!). It never occurred to me to be honest with him about what it is, as he would probably then repeat it to anyone who cared to hear. He’s a talker!

    • Rebecca says...

YAY for sex positivity and modeling to boys that women should feel good during sex too!!!

    • Emily Selmer says...

Reminds me of the scene in the movie “Parenthood”…”Mommy what is that? It’s an electric ear cleaner!” Hilarious!

  7. Joanne says...

Okay but that bra color (top photo) is gorgeous – I’ve been looking for one in that shade! Any guesses as to what it is?

    • Target + Third Love both have bras in that color. Target’s is more of a bralette.

    • Cate says...

It looks like a CUUP bra! They have the best colors.

    • Joanne says...

Thank you Sheila and Cate! Looking now!

    • Emily says...

thanks for asking the important questions, also came here wondering about that bra! so pretty.

  8. Jen says...

Have been wanting to try the Pom for ages!

  9. Diana K says...

Our family decided not to exchange gifts this year and I took that as permission to spend some hard-earned quiche on myself this year. Sex toys are not on my list but pajamas, loungewear, slippers, a fitness trampoline, and skincare are. Did anyone else watch the Queens Gambit and feel a deep desire to hunt down a version of her loungy look in the scene where she spirals? COOL me too.

    • Joanna Goddard says...

I love that you are treating yourself!!

    • Kara says...

Some clothing retailer seriously needs to copy that loungy look and sell it, I’d also buy it!

    • The lounge look it queens gambit was well thought out and inspiring. I’ve been looking for versions of and meaning to switch out of my sweats.
