Did you see Little Women? I really enjoyed this Vogue interview with Jacqueline Durran, the costume designer. “Each girl had a core color palette that we played with; it wasn’t a firm rule, but we wanted it to be repetitive and consistent. Meg’s was green and lavender, Beth’s was brown and pink, Amy’s was light blue, and Jo’s was red and indigo,” she says. “Jo is the writer, the tomboy, and the most nonconformist, so her costume doesn’t include a corset, which lends a freedom to how she can move.” (If you’re in the mood, here are past interviews with the designers of Crazy Rich Asians and Fleabag.) — Joanna
Have you broken out recently? Although I’m 40 years old, I recently broke out like a teenager. (Gah!) On multiple friends’ recommendation, I tried out pimple patches, which did the trick overnight. Now I’m keeping a few extra on hand for skin emergencies. — Joanna
Unveiled, the latest Netflix comedy special from comedian Iliza Shlesinger, recounts her wedding planning journey and everything that is hilariously tough about modern nuptials. From veils and garters to zombie bachelorettes to that one groomsman everyone has, it is easily the funniest thing I’ve seen in recent memory. You know when you encounter someone who has so fully stepped into her power that it makes you especially proud to be a woman? This person. That feeling. Highly recommended. — Caroline
Last but not least, we have questions for you! We’re excited to be planning new things for Cup of Jo this year, including fun products and reader events around the country. (We would LOVE to bring our community together in real life.) Would you mind filling out this quick survey? Thank you so much! xoxo
P.S. More fun things, and dinner etiquette.
