This summer is full of styles we can’t get enough of (see also: pearls, daisies, black and white prints). The best thing is, they feel effortlessly wearable and will look timeless for years. So, in partnership with Nordstrom, we asked our friend Naudia to try out three more big ones. Take a look…
White tee, green skirt, straw bag.
1. Silky, flowy skirts are everywhere this summer. Whether they are gold or floral, animal print or polka dot, we are here for it. How stunning does Naudia look in this lime green version? The way the satin danced in the wind was so mesmerizing in person, we were all sold and now want to order one for ourselves.
2. A straw bag is a summer staple that works year after year. You can carry it to brunch, on vacation, to a wedding. A circle one feels playful, and a cherry number is perfect for the beach. The simple style goes with anything, and they’re big enough to hold a phone, wallet and keys.
Navy blazer, white tee, classic jeans, similar shoes.
But our favorite look was this jeans-and-blazer combo, which made Naudia look like the unstoppable career force that she is. (She recently graduated with a degree in health and nutrition sciences and is now finishing her year-long dietetic internship.)
“Trend?” you say. “Isn’t a blazer and jeans a classic, timeless combination?” Yes, you would be right. But right now the low-key styling of a blazer (like this gold-buttoned one or notch-color number) with a casual tee and classic blue jeans is A Thing. You can wear it to the office, at meetings, out to dinner… Plus, this look will easily transition into fall. Win-win-win.
When it comes to shopping for clothes and accessories, we’ve long turned to Nordstrom. They have a huge selection of current styles, and shipping and returns are always free. Plus, the big Nordstrom anniversary sale is coming up! (Psst — if you sign up for a Nordy Club card, you can get early access to the sale.)
Which look is your favorite? What styles are you into right now? Would love to hear…
