That crepe wrap, in linen, would be a dream. But then again I think everything in linen is a dream.
I keep seeing more and more dresses made out of tencel (a sustainable fabric from wood cellulose). I was wondering how that wears if anyone knows. Does it breath? Is it lightweight? Does it make you sweat?
Mickey, I love tencel!! It’s kind of like rayon, but a little slicker and more drapey. It breaths really well and is great for spring and cooler summer days. I’d say it’s usually a midweight fabric.

Tencel is one of the softest fabrics out there (reminds me of bamboo) so I have two shirts that I love in that fabric but it does have a tendency to wrinkle pretty easily (sort of along the lines of linen). So I recommend it but not for anything dressy.

I won’t shy away from tencel now. I saw a few cute tencel dresses, but at 80 euros a pop, I didn’t want to risk buying something that wouldn’t wear well.

I’m currently 0 for 3 in my spring dress buying attempts. I’m so. tired. of ending up wearing black when I get ready for church ? Plus we have a wedding coming up next month that I’d love a new dress for. I’ve been consoling myself that if I don’t find anything I can wear the great silk Anthropologie dress I bought for another wedding last year. Then it dawned on me, the baby will only be 5 months old. No way will I get through the wedding and reception without him wanting to nurse ?♀️ So now I’m really determined to find something!
Wish you would sometimes post more affordable options in the things you display. While I enjoy your posts, it’s kind of depressing when all of the items are way past middle-income level.

Yes, I agree I find a lot of great options that are out of my budget, like, Rouje has a great collection of dresses to dreaammm for! I loved it too much that I wrote about it! But I found similar pieces at Topshop and Mango with a lower price tag. I also find that Midi skirts should be the next spring dress don’t you agree?
I feel like such a downer (insert Debbie downer face) but I don’t feel I ever identified with the easy spring dress mentality. I have to work to feel comfortable… Lotioning the dry winter skin and shaving everything and toenail situations? The right bra and undies that don’t show or that only show in a cute way? To those women who “throw it on over your head and you’re done”, or don’t feel self conscious, teach me all your secrets! ? womp whomp. Probably indicative of a lack of winter maintenance. Pretty dresses though!
I’m with you here Jo. I usually wear dresses with leggings underneath, when it’s really hot, bike shorts under. I try and find dresses where I don’t need a bra.
For me an easy look is a sweater under overalls, not something where I am showing skin, and worrying about hair removal ?
Come spring with light dresses and I dream of small tits! Just some cute perky braless wonders. In winter I love my enormous breasts that feed my baby and need a crane to hold them up but spring is here and I just want to be free and flat!

It would also be wonderful to see some more ethical brands (I love that you featured reformation) that focus on slow fashion, transparency, sustainability, and fair labor practices. In a site that celebrates women, it would also be wonderful to celebrate the ethical treatment of the women who make our clothes. Ooh, I love that criss-cross back dress, but I’ve heard far too many Amazon dress purchase horror stories (where the dress looks NOTHING like the model picture) to spend over $100 on a dress with no reviews from real people! I’ll just have to sit and wait for a bit :)
