Great Article. I adore Kids tees at Reliance Trends too much. Their kids’ collection is too cute and especially my kids love it. Everyone should give it a try.

  2. These are fantastic!

  3. Olivia Howell says...

You have to check out Mitz Kids! They have gorgeous styles.

  4. Michaela says...

Yay perfect timing! I have a boy whose second bday is coming up and he basically worn nothing but his older brother’s hand me downs. He LOVES fire trucks and that winter water factory one you posted is adorable, so I think it’s time he got a new shirt of his own! :)

  5. Lee says...

These made me imagine a dreamy line of Oliver Jeffers T-shirt’s for kids (I see he has a few options) Maybe it’s time for some office neighbor collaboration 😊

  6. Sasha says...

I really like that almost all of these tee shirts are fun for both girls and boys. The *genderization* for want of a better word, of all things for children really bothers me. I love it when I see fun things that preschoolers won’t immediately be likely to categorize as girl only or boy only. Trying to break down the idea that kitties are for girls and trains are for boys, etc.

Cute options for kids! As a momma with a son who has long hair – i love this shirt . https://finfirstmb.com/collections/kids/products/long-live-long-haired-boys-youth.
I recently participated in an online survey for Old Navy to give feedback on their upcoming baby clothes. My main comment for everything was it can be sold to either a girl or boy! Why gender a onesie just because it has a little purple or a flower. Ughhhh! I took my kids to see the Bowie exhibit and they loved all the clothes. Anyone can wear anything!

    • Sasha says...

Heartily agree!! Fun colors for everyone. Ladybugs and unicorns and Dino’s and tickets for everyone! Pockets for everyone.

      Meant to say rockets.

  8. Sarah says...

These are all really cute. We recently got a number of very cute t shirts from the Cat & Jack line at Target for both boys and girls. Only $6-8 each.

  9. Maura Caley says...

These are all so cute! I’ve literally checked almost all of them to see if they come in adult sizes. I would love to see a post like this for women’s T shirts!

  10. Cute and fun t-shirts are my go-to gift for kids! My current favourite are from the YaYa kids T-shirt collection: https://www.yayakids.ca (The bear is SO CUTE)

  11. Claire says...

These are all darling, and if that pink pointelle number from Boden came in my size I would buy 2 and wear them all the time.
I see the Winter Water Factory makes adult sizes, so I will be browsing for some options there.

  12. Why are these all white? What kid can keep a white T-shirt white for long? I feel like people who design kids’ clothing don’t actually have kids when they make white or light clothes. My kids — a boy and a girl — both run, climb, and roll around on the ground regardless of what they’re wearing. I made a choice to not buy light-colored clothing because I don’t want to be that parent who’s always running after my children yelling “don’t do XYZ because you’ll get your clothes dirty.”

    • Katie says...

I agree totally. My son was recently given a nice white polo shirt and I thought “Oh no that is going to get stained for sure.”

    • HH says...

Yes, they’re adorable, but I have to add, not only, “why are they all white,” but $44? $48? I can’t even imagine spending that small fortune on an adult-sized t-shirt (or dress shirt!) for myself.

Maybe these t-shirts are for children who don’t climb trees or play in the mud but isn’t that the whole point of a t-shirt?

great points! if you’re looking for bright colors, we really love these primary tees for our boys, too: https://www.primary.com/shop/kids/top-10/the-classic-tee?color=grass&size=2 — they are $8-$9 each.

we always try to feature a mix of price points for different budgets/desires/etc. in this roundup, we featured tees from $6 to $44. we’ll keep scouting a mix to hopefully satisfy as many people as possible. thank you so much!

    • Sasha says...

Light colored is helpful when it’s hot though. That’s about the only time.

    • Jo says...

I find most spots just come out in the wash, and if they don’t, who cares! I think cute kids clothes look just fine with a spot or too!

  13. Marcy says...

All adorable. I’m probably the only one to look at the Mr Tree shirt and think… “hmmm, a bear with an empty thought bubble over his head?”

    • Em says...

Not at all, that’s literally exactly what I saw too :D

  14. Avalanche Lake says...

I’m looking for a post that I think was on this site (maybe it was elsewhere though) collecting a few different clothing brands that were doing things like making boys’ clothes in pink and purple and girls’ clothes in other colors and with themes that are traditionally “ungirly,” like science. Does anyone remember this? I think I found it here because I find all the best kids’ clothes recs here, but…I have mommy brain. :)

  15. Love the ‘Fille du Futur’ tee. It’s a big responsibility raising little people of the future!

  16. Such a great roundup of summer tees! We love Bobo & Oeuf! What I also love about these is that most of the tees are unisex and both boys and girls can rock it! Being a mom of two girls, I am naturally only drawn to girls’ clothing but I love the cute and neutral graphics on some of these.

  17. Haha – LOVE the shark one! I was once in a gallery with a friend and watched her approach someone who looked vaguely like me from behind and sing ‘hello, is it me your looking for?’ softly in her ear… before running off mortified having realised she’d got the wrong person :)

  18. hey, my nephews like the shark one the best :)

    keep up the great work!

  19. Amy H says...

Oh man, Mr. Tree is so incredibly cute!! That eye roll!!

  20. Amanda Hamilton says...

Boden tees, of course! Soft, durable, and don’t look faded after tons of washes!!

  21. Katherine says...

So adorable. Although my two considerations are: will it stain? (White and very light options are out) and is it bright enough to find in a crowd?

    • Claire says...

Right! When my son was small my first question was always “is it machine washable and can I throw it in the dryer?”. None of that hand wash, hang to dry business.

  22. I have a small Etsy shop making hand-stamped shirts for kids and babies (I started for my own sons and it grew!). I love finding shirts that are cute, soft and easy to wear, AND four other kids at preschool won’t also be wearing.

Those are adorable!! I especially love the jellies ❤️

  23. Luz Silverio says...

    I recently read this article:
    http://time.com/5045028/raising-boys-faith-salie/
And I immediately custom-ordered a onesie for my son that says “resilient like mommy,” although that would be a nice one to find in stores, too.

    • Joanna Goddard says...

      i love that, luz.

    • Robin says...

Great article! Thank you for sharing. I’m working hard to raise two sweet boys right now. They are so very sweet and the pressure to make them otherwise drives me crazy. Any encouragement is welcome :)

    • jules says...

Thanks for posting this Luz. It’s tough being a card-carrying feminist with a son. Two good friends and I went with our kids to the March for Our lives gun control rally two weeks ago. The (childless, wonderful) friend kept shouting “Girls rule!” etc., for the benefit our other friend’s daughters. I kept saying “Yes, and boys are great too!” I’m conflicted. I buy the FUTURE IS FEMALE tees for friends babyshowers and have nothing empowering to give my own toddler – who is a sweet and sensitive boy. I am worried about bullying – especailly when millennial parents are still perpetuating these gender stereotypes.

    • That’s a great article! Thanks so much for sharing.

Sigh…if only they made the French Flag in my size…adorable!
