We feature an illustration by the wonderful Mari Andrew every Friday morning. Here’s today’s.
P.S. What not to bring on vacation, and summer scents.

My fabulous friend Susan makes “have done” lists, rather than “to do.” It really is amazing to see what yiu’ve Accomplished written in a tidy hand.
Love this!! Mari is great!!
I was lacking motivation earlier so I put on the brightest red lipstick I could find now I feel like a new woman strutting around the house :)
Floss! Makes me feel so productive and healthy in so little time!
This is such a cute little list! Can’t wait to try some of these out!
This is such a cute illustration and I can’t wait to see what all Friday hold illustration wise! What an exciting feature, I love it.

Mari is awesome, this list is sooo true! I agree with the suggestion of having Mari featuring a beauty uniform / week of outfits. I bring again a suggestion that I made some time ago: featuring readers!
Agreed about writing a To Do list. Crossing off something on my list makes me feel like I could conquer the world too.
Happy weekend, Jo.
Love it! Especially the lipstick idea – it’s true, you do feel like a different person with a new look! :)
I love having to-do lists! There is something so satisfying about crossing things off, preferably with black Sharpie.
Agreed to all.
I love this quote by Victor Hugo, “He who every morning plans the transaction of the day and follows out the plan, carries a thread that will guide him through the labyrinth of the most busy life.”
I’m no example of this, but its good guidance.
I love these — they feel achievable! :)
“New House! Cross off something you’ve already done. ”
Love them all! They will be a source for smiles and Laughing!
yes to all !
I always look forward to your Friday wisdom!
One more:
* Put the papers and so on cluttering your desk into a little Anthropologie shopping bag. Instant neatness and “organization”!
My bag is on the floor by my desk, waiting for me to sort through it someday. (If you don’t have a cute paper bag, go shopping.)
Haha! YES. I’d love this print for my desk. :)
Perfect! hah
#8 Place Amazon order of mundane things you will eventually need…e.g. toilet paper.
Here is another (which a wise person taught me):
Take those bricks out of your backpack!!
You know that overwhelmed feeling you have because: the kids are tugging on you; recent domestic and international news is making us feel not so great; if we are working moms- we have work commitments; how to make our hair shiny and our lips glossy; why does everyone else at work seem to have a new wardrobe every few weeks; how to be a good wife to your husband, why is my floor always soooo sticky even though I mop???
Well, I practiced it last night and it worked! I actually laid in bed and imagined taking bricks out of my backpack… it was amazing. I felt lighter and I fell asleep. You gotta choose what bricks you want to leave in, of course, but so many of those bricks were unproductive to me at that time.
I love this idea, Bindi! I am going to try it!
This list made me smile at the end of a tough week – thank you!
Oh! How I wish I could do the first one!
That really bugs me. I feel like I have 1 thousand and 1 folders, and some of them are empty, ugh…
The last one is awesome. May or may not have done that in the past
Love these posts!
Five items on that list are in regular rotation in my world. Love it!
SAME!
Love it! I do the To Do List thing all the time, lol!
Me too. So satisfying :)
I’d love to see a beauty uniform or week of outfits for Mari! She seems so fun. :)
Yes please!
what a fun idea!! i’ll ask her!
Love the suggestion!!
:) that’s how all to-do lists should be approached! Love Mari’s work. Always so true!
Everthing is true!! love it!
No joke; I have done four of these things today. Ahh working from home makes me SO productive! ;)
7/7
