A cool spring look that we’ve been spying all over is the “chore coat,” an unstructured denim jacket that looks great with any outfit. It’s different from a typical jean jacket because of its long and oversized shape, which feels fresh. The design is based on rugged workmen’s coats that have been made for 200 years. (For decades, street-style photographer Bill Cunningham bought his indigo version in French hardware stores.) I’d love to wear one over a black turtleneck and black jeans, or a floral dress.

Here are six great styles: classic, short, painter, camo, pockets and cream.

Would you wear one?

P.S. 6 pretty trends and the best black dress.
