“Adequate eyesight” for the dating version, that made me laugh!
Really love this post! I think this defines the aspects of my life right now. Can’t wait to see more of this.
love this, looking forward to more!

Love this. Different personalities for different platforms has been on my mind a lot lately. Grad school me, grocery store me, single and lives alone with my dogs me, Instagram me….. all the same and yet SO different. Cute to have a visual representation of what’s going on upstairs. ;)
I love this! I just discovered Mari’s Instagram in the last week or so, and I really love her illustrations.
I love Mari Andrew’s work! Her instagram posts are my favorite, and thankfully insta’s algorithm places her stuff right at the top of my feed ;)
I also love her work, and follow religiously on Instagram. She is so talented!
Fantastic! I identify. Can we get a “mom self” next? Cheers!
LOVE her illustrations! Im always checking her Instagram for new ones, and now there will be new ones here! What a treat! :)
I discovered her on Instagram! I love her posts!
This is hilarious, and so true! I had a good wee laugh at this, although I have a good few extra “me’s” to add to the chart; the ‘university’ me, and the ‘out with friends’ me in paticular haha!
This was so fun!! :D
Ha! So true!
Hilarious – the ‘adequate eyesight’ made me laugh. :)
These are so cute!

That is so good. I could think of a few more selves as well. Glad this illustrator will be a regular!
This is amazing. So glad this will be a regular feature! I like to think that the older I get, the closer I get to all my selfs becoming the same(ish…) person. :)
Yay, I love her!!!
Lol so relatable! I think mine would be social media self – mom self – wife self – and kids free self lol! I definitely feel like I can be a slightly different person when I’m with my girlfriends vs with the family as a SAHM!
Mari’s illustrations are my favorite part of my day, so I was the happiest to see her featured here! Another great thing to look forward to on Fridays!
This is awesome news! Love her work!!
Yayy! I love Mari Andrews, her Instagram account is so underrated!
absolutely amazing.
How do you find these things? I love this. It reminds me of when I was first a parent, and I was in this “who am I anymore? I don’t recognize myself!” stage, and my dad noted that people can have completely different Meyers Briggs results depending on whether they are imagining themselves at home, at work, with friends, with their spouse, etc., when answering the questions. I think Invisibilia had an episode on this: the personality myth.
that’s fascinating!!
I agree with this – I’ve gotten very different results from the ‘love languages’ quiz and it depends on where I am in life and who I’m with as to what I crave more of. So far my Myers-Briggs has stayed the same over the years, though. If anything, my results have intensified.
The. best.
LOL at being passionate about weather and spontaneously stumbling on colorful walls! In LA, it’s actually a thing to find “the pink wall” to post on social media. Seriously (Google “LA pink wall”). The only thing is that is that all my selves are really into Stranger Things (all I talked about at work for a while) but I related to all the other ones on a hilariously high level.
SO perfect!
Mari is my favourite part of every day!!
Adequate eyesight on dates. LMAO!
These are super cute illustrations <3 Thank you for sharing. I hadn't heard of her until now.

She is fantastic!! Thank you!!
Love this! As one who sports glasses I liked “has adequate eyesight” and the fact that only the date one doesn’t have spectacles. :)
i laughed out loud at “couldn’t eat another bite” :)
Haha, so accurate!
This is new to me, but I really like it! I feel like everyone portrays a “best version” of themselves at various places depending on the situation.
Absolutely in love with Mari Andrew’s instagram account! So great to see her getting some recognition around the interwebs :)
I love this! I have gotten knee-deep in the Enneagram, and one of the characteristics to my number (2, the helper) is “feeling like you’re in a salad spinner.” In other words, I am constantly evolving to fit the setting I am in and to make others feel comfortable. It’s a strength but can also be an (exhausting) weakness :)
Mari Andrew is a new name to me, but so glad there will be more of her work on Cup of Jo. Love it!
She is hilarious and so prolific! She does an illustration a day on Instagram.
Haha I love her post from Tuesday: seasonal expectations vs reality. Definitely following her now :)
yes!!!!! i love her. my favorite new instagram account.
I couldn’t love this more! Bravo, Mari.
I absolutely love Mari Andrew’s illustrations. Good call :)
YES!!! Love her work so much.
