This spring, design around the web is feeling unusually fresh and fun — I keep feeling surprised and delighted by people’s creations. For example, 100% of the proceeds of the “mama knows best” tee, above, go toward Every Mother Counts. Here are a few more examples…
1. This Matisse print was first sold on baby clothes, but, when a million women requested to wear it themselves, Bobo Choses made it in grown-up sizes.
2. How cool are these chandelier earrings by Annie Costello Brown? She lists female abstract impressionist painters and sculptors like Louise Nevelson as influences. “As I’ve gotten older, I’ve really honed in on loving only female artists,” Annie notes.
3. Wary Meyers natural soaps — made by a couple in Maine — smell like pink champagne, fresh peaches, Japanese cherry blossoms and Italian tomatoes.
4. These vases are shaped by hand in Japan.
5. These hand-dyed indigo onesies are too cute. They come in pink and blue.
6. George pin. No explanation necessary.
7. Every rug from this Portuguese shop has beautiful shapes and colors.
8. Tattly just launched a line of scented (!) temporary tattoos. Their floral watercolor set has notes of fuchsia and poppies. What a fun twist on perfume.
9. Alex teases me for losing my keys daily, but I haven’t lost them once since getting this drop key ring. It makes it easy to spy them on the counter or fish them out of my backpack.
10. We’ve spotting these Brazil-made Veja sneakers all around town. They’re inspired by a volleyball shoe from the 70’s.
11. This enamel mama ring would make such a sweet gift.
12. These giant beach towels are handmade in Mexico with recycled cotton.
Thoughts? What are you loving these days?
P.S. 12 pretty pieces of pottery.
