I just ordered that swimsuit in the mail so I’m sort of LOLing about the comments.. I think it’s rad and slightly different. And it it doesn’t fit I will return it. You never know how you’ll feel about it until you order it, so I say go for it :)

I salute Emily for her tenacity when it comes to wedding prep. I bought 10 visits for 1 hour facials months and months before my wedding and only managed to use 3. haha!

Also, thanks for writing “lying low” and not “laying low” :) – I’m trying to reverse the grammar damage on my toddler today who thinks it’s “lay down” instead of “lie down.” Why doesn’t anyone get this one right?

Ha! Ha!
Your toddler will correct himself when he hears you saying it the right way. Otherwise you will make him paranoid and he will always question whether he is saying it properly!

Yes! One time, when I was young, my dad corrected me by saying, “Chickens lay eggs. You lie down.” I hear it in my head every time that comes up now!

If you’re looking for a chic, comfortable one piece, I cannot recommend Boden highly enough. Their two pieces are great too. I bought a gorgeous strapless navy blue one piece for my honeymoon last year and my husband calls it my “princess” suit… It reminds him of classy Kate Middleton :) they always have a bunch of fun, retro prints and classic colors.

Honestly, you cannot beat the quality of their suits for the price. I’ve had all of my Boden suits for years and they are just damn well made. I don’t think I’ll ever buy another J Crew suit…

I heart the picture! The swimsuit is ok too many colors but the style is spot on just one color, I think the minimal look looks great on everyone. Also misty is so amazing and the sad anniversaries article is something we do. Makes you feel more in tuned with people’s emotions. And yes I have seen the talented gymnast loved the gymnastics the young lady was doing. I saw it and was dancing along with her lol

I love Seafolly swim wear they are the best and the only brand I buy. I have bikini’s and tankini styles, I like the tankini style better than a one piece suit and you can mix and match tops and bottoms. Check out their site lots of lovely styles it’s so hard to choose!

I would love to see someone in the Van Gogh room. It looked great, but I couldn’t imagine sleeping there. The pre-wedding routine: too much, too much, too much. What will she do if she has kids? She will need to read the 10 years married article. No colon cleansing required, people.

Loved Larry David – wow.
That striped swim suit – no. Not a good look for you. I loved the asos keyhole suggestion, though, from another poster.
A tip on pregnancy swimwear: I just wore my bikini when I got big. There was no camouflaging the bump, and it looked weird under too much cloth. It looks big when bare as well, but somehow blends better. Plus bikini top looks amazing with better pregnancy cleavage:)

The Miracle Berry! I hadn’t thought about that in years!

I did a party like that–it’s super fun! My favorite were lemons. My only advice would be not to go too crazy. As we discovered the hard way (Lemons! Limes! Grapefruit! Vinegar! Warheads! All the things!), an evening of eating sour and acidic stuff can give you a serious belly-ache :)

1) Um, my family thought I was crazy to pay my regular hair dresser to wash and curl my hair the morning of our wedding. I also got eyelash extensions but that’s because I happy cry too much and they made me feel like a million dollars.

2) The 10 years of marriage article made me cry and was very timely. Such a good reminder.

I LOVE a good one piece, but I’ve found the key for me is support in the chest. I bought this Nanette Lepore suit last year and every time I wear it, I feel like a retro movie star.
