Madewell just came out with their spring 2016 collection. Right now, it’s only available for pre-order, but we are loving EVERY. SINGLE. THING. (How pretty is that backless dress above?) We talked to Joyce Lee, their new head designer, about the collection she calls “a mix of our usual tomboy with a little feminine nod.”
Joyce’s style icons include her mother, Charlotte Rampling and the women of the ’70s (which really shows!). “The looks are grounded with a lot of strong denim pieces,” Joyce explains. Among her favorite pieces from the collection are the pants. “I’m loving the new leg shapes,” she says, “like wider legs and higher rises.”
