My son and I just went there the other day. We had so much fun making s’mores around the fire. Such a great place! Not so kid friendly indoors though. I was following my sugared up three year old like a hawk, the poor guy was so curious- he wanted to touch every glass object in the place!
I love Terrain though, they have such beautiful unique items and it’s so inspiring just walking around.

You always have such great gift ideas! I’m wondering if you would consider doing a gift list of presents for a white elephant exchange? We have a few of these types of parties lined up this season and I never know what to bring, especially when the maximum is $20-25!

good idea!! are they supposed to be joke-y presents, or more serious? people always seem to love nice scented candles (linnea’s lights are beautiful and about that price point) or books (like Mindy Kaling’s new one) or a really lovely NARS lipstick, if you’re with a female crowd… for jokey presents, urban outfitters might be a good place to swing by, they have fun things. i’ll keep thinking!!

Joanna, I love that green and gold wreath shown in the first picture of the post, but I don’t see it anywhere on Terrain’s website. Is it possible to ask them where I can find that wreath (or at least what it is made out of)?

Emily, those are magnolia leaves..the glossy green is the topside, the brown is the underneath. All over thesouth and temperate west coast… Ihink too cold in Philly so probably the plant material brought in. Wreaths are easy to make. Google it.

i love their stuff, i just wish they (and anthropologie) weren’t owned by urban outfitters. they’re such a horrible company that i just can’t bring myself to shop at any of their brands. among other things, they have a salon called “hairroin”, which gave out promotional syringe-shaped pens. really charming to walk by on my way to work after my cousin died from a heroin overdose.
just had to point it out because a lot of people are hard on urban outfitters for their multiple offenses, but they don’t make the connection between them and terrain, anthro, and bhldn.

we love terrain! everything is so beautiful. one note, it is not in philadelphia. we live in philadelphia, and it takes about 45 minutes to get there depending on the traffic. it’s located in glen mills, pa. worth the trip!

I am currently standing within whiffing distance of that pumpkin candle (I have it on my desk)–it’s so delicious!! Even when it’s not lit, it fills the whole room with a sweet, warm scent.

Terrain is dangerous territory for me! I could easily spend all day on there. I’m currently obsessing over the holiday wreaths they carry. The ivory throw and copper pitcher you featured might make my must-buy list too!
