This month, we’re featuring delicious dips, spreads and sauces. Today’s recipe is from Paul Lowe’s gorgeous new cookbook Sweet Paul Eat & Make. I’d love to serve this when friends come over, wouldn’t you? It’s really easy to make but so, so good. Here’s how to whip it up at home…
Feta and Lemon Dip
by Paul Lowe, author of Sweet Paul Eat & Make
Serves 4
This is one of the simplest recipes ever. Just a few ingredients, two minutes in the food processor, and voila, you have the most amazing dip. I’ve even used it as a topping for baked chicken or white fish.
You’ll need:
7 oz. feta cheese (about 1 cup crumbled)
1 tbsp. grated lemon zest, plus more for garnish
1–2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
1 garlic clove, minced
6 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for serving
Pinch of red pepper flakes
Crudités, chips, toasts or pita crisps, for serving
Place the feta, lemon zest, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, garlic and olive oil in a blender and whir until combined but still slightly chunky. It’s dense, so you may need to stir it with a fork once or twice. Taste, and if it’s too salty add more lemon juice.
Spoon into a serving bowl, drizzle with a little oil and sprinkle with a pinch of pepper flakes and some lemon zest.
Serve with crudités, chips, toasts or pita crisps.
Thank you so much, Paul! Your book is beautiful.
P.S. More best recipes, including ricotta, honey and provolone crostini and garlic bread.

I saved this recipe over two years ago and FINALLY made it. Couldn’t even wait until Thanksgiving, had to have it while prepping other dishes. I’m kicking myself for waiting that long, if there was ever a dip to die for this is it.

This sounds delicious and makes me wish I still ate dairy! Feta is my FAVORITE cheese of all damn time!

This is my go to dip whenever I need to bring a dish or I host friends. Everyone loves and raves about it, and it is SO SIMPLE! I serve it with pita chips. I also use the leftovers as a spread for wraps and sandwiches.
I make a feta and lemon dip very similar to this. It always gets gobbled up like crazy, even by the picky eaters in our group. Next time I’ll have to try this version of the recipe. :)

LOVE the food posts and LOVE that this week is about dips and sauces! I am all about a good dip! Will definitely make this. xx
This looks so yummy. I’m a sucker for anything with feta or crumbled cheese! Must favorite this and put it in my list of things to make once I settle into my new apartment! YUM.

Joanna, I love your blog, and the recipes. Could you feature more recipes with really simple ingredients?
I live in Haiti where things like locally-made feta cheese are non-existent. I’d love to see some recipes featured that are also accessible to us readers living outside the US.
I need this. Now. Cannot wait to leave work and go shopping!
Joanna this recipe looks delicious! You may have already eaten this before but at a recent girls weekend in Palm Springs one of my friends made the Trader Joe’s Lentil Dip and it is pure heaven and super simple with only 4 ingredients!
1 pack of trader joes steamed lentils (in the refrigerated section with all the prepackaged salads)
1 jar of trader giotto’s bruschetta (in the aisle with the spaghetti and other pasta sauces)
1 cup of crumbled feta (or more if you would like more cheese)
juice of 1/2 of a lemon
Serve with pita chips, pita crackers, or any other chip or bread.
SUPER DELICIOUS! Thanks for these posts, I really enjoy them =)
Fab looking book!

yes and YES! i love me some feta! xo jillian – cornflake dreams
What a surprise to find that recipe on your blog. I always prepare it and I would eat it every day if it wasn’t for my job. Instead of feta, the greek yogourt can be used for a great sauce as well.
