Hi Joanna
I found this quite amusing because I think it’s the exact opposite in Australia. Summer seems to be nearly all year round!
I referenced your post in a blog post of my own if you would like to check it out.

This is awesome! I had a PICNIC with my daughters on Tuesday. On Wednesday we got FIFTEEN inches of snow!
This is so accurate!
This has been so true in New York! I can’t wait to get out of the city and be somewhere warm for a little while :)

This is so true in New York this year! I can’t wait to get out of the city for a few days and be somewhere warm :)

So true!! Every year we have Spring for like a week then are in the heat of summer! Not complaining though after this winter I’m excited for some heat!
Brilliant! This is exactly why I’m contemplating a move to Florida. At least until I heard that Floridians are already treating their lawns for mosquitos because of the wet winter. Is there anywhere safe and sunny? :o)
*sigh* That ONE day! I decided to go on strike against winter 2 weeks ago and refused to wear anything but a chunky sweater when going out. I learned my lesson when it snowed 3 inches one night when we were out with friends!
Ha ha. So true. Same as here in Denmark.

the last days in Germany are so sunny and warm and we are just starting spring… hope that this holds on for just a little more;-)
Love from sunny Germany and the -fatcatconnection-

So true. :(
sooo true. so very true!
You can just reverse the whole thing for Las Vegas…
Haha. Oh so true – I thought I would be exempt by living in TX, but not so much
Yup, that’s about how I’d describe it. I can’t believe we have another seven inches of snow on the ground in the middle of March!!! Can’t wait for that tiny sliver called spring!
livablecambridge, ooh, good idea. i wasn’t going to write about it, but maybe we should discuss! let me see what i can come up with today xoxo thanks!!
@danielle, LOLed at your comment.
Without the weather (and it’s crazy personality), would strangers even talk to each other? I don’t think so!!
Oklahoma has been a mess, now the wind is blowing every allergen known to man around so we cant even enjoy the warm weather!
Imoved to Oaxaca from New Zealand and boy, having summer temperatures all ‘winter’ here has taking some getting used to. I will be walking around in pants and a t-shirt whilst the locals are wearing boots, a thick coat and beanies!
this is soooo true. cannot believe the snow is flying in Beantown again. ugh. go away winter.
This couldn’t be more true! We southerners finally got a taste of what a REAL winter is like and I’m not a huge fan! Come on spring!
HaHaHa!! That feels so true right now. I hope we have a long warm summer ahead of us to make up for this winter.
I would laugh if I wasn’t so depressed.
That one day was Tuesday. 50 and beautiful. Yesterday it was so bad my work closed. Today the INSIDE of my car was frozen and re-froze on the road….
It’s not quite that bad where I live but I feel for you all over there! You should move to California! But that’s not even good enough for me. I want to move to Hawaii, where it’s sunny and warm everyday, and I can paint outside! …just remember how beautiful Spring is, even if it’s short! :)
I’m a New Orleans native, so it’s kinda the exact opposite for summer and winter. Summer seems to last ten miserably hot, swampy months. Then it’s icy cold for the other two. But some days it’s perfect.
It’s the exact opposite in Arizona. Keep on winter!
Hahaha. This couldn’t be more true in NY. Oh boy. Thanks, Joanna!
true dat. : (
Happened here in Seattle yesterday! Gorgeous and sunny. After weeks of downpours it was an amazing. uplifting day. Everyone was lighter.

So true!!!!
“That day..” is also the day when I go out and buy 10 sleeveless tops, take out all my spring shoes, and open all the windows out of eagerness and desperation. And then it snows. Sometimes New England just feels cruel.
This is totally the weather in the UK! No wonder we’re so nuts about the weather, we’re always waiting for that sunny day. Fortunately, today it is sunny, hooray! (Oh wait, that’s probably that one day in March where we all get too optimistic!)
Well, you do live at the wrong place then..
Greetings from Athens, Greece.
Ha. This totally describes the weather here in Alberta!!!
Plus, two things that were harder than I expected.
