Love these cards ! But, i’m sorry to say that, “farouche” means “wild” in french, it’s often employed to describe animals.
Greetings from ( the french-speaking part of ) Switzerland !
I love these notecards! I collect vintage bikes so I must get a set.
Wonderfully subtle humor…smiles.
more like charming!
Even more ironic, the dude on the bike hardly looks sullen, shy, or socially inept!
These are really nice!
So cute!
I love this! Always looking for an excuse to go to Paper Source. When I get home I’m going to go searching for a bicycle stamp. Just love this!
thank you, rachel! xo
Makes me want to go riding.
ha! socially inept? that would be me! I guess I’m a farouche.
the cards are lovely.
I just discovered your blog and am already in love (reykjavik style? yes please!!) . . . I can’t wait to make this one of my regular reads. In keeping with this post’s theme, here are some more bicycle notecards that you might enjoy, designed by one of my favorite illustrators, Catia Chien:
(and if you’ve never been to Gallery Nucleus in general I suggest staying a while & poking around, it’s a treasure trove of absolutely fabulous art)
I love them!
They make me long for nicer weather (it’s been all snow and rain here in MN) and a bigger budget!
nath, that is so cool. and i agree, i hate being stuck inside on weekdays when the fall weather is so nice.
Too bad it’s not Wednesday, Wednesday Giveaway, *looks down in an attempt to appear modest*
Very unique.
I can’t begin to image what that picture illustrated in the first place. Maybe a circus advertisement, or really early motocross racing.
Oh! these are very cool!
Those are amazing, and thanks for my French lesson too! :)
They are really great! Really love the delicacy of it.
i like. my husband’s surname is Machin and in french it means ‘thingamabob’ – so you use it when you can’t think of the correct word for something.
also – is anyone else suffering from wedding withdrawal? my days seem lacking in romance somehow since last week…
haha, you’re right, it totally looks like a flip book!
I absolutely love this! Anything with bicycles is just cute!
That bike picture is great… I am picturing it like one of those old fashioned movies where the pictures flip… and in this one the guy would do a face plant.
I like! I always want to buy blank note cards for thank yous and such, but never do. These are an incentive!
So cute!
So cute! And maybe some day, to impress people, I’ll call myself farouche.
Hey, if the shoe fits… (okay, I’m not sullen…two outta three?)
I love these!!
pretty!!!
