These baggy ex-boyfriend shorts come with “no strings attached.” Aren’t they cute?
P.S. Genius.
I want this whole ensemble! So bum chic. :)
I love that!!
What a fantastic outfit! Off to my closet to try and recreate it!!!
darling.
LOVE this look with the blazer and the scarf. The shorts are spot-on to a pair I had in jr. high. I used to obsess about the “fringe” and trim them “un-perfectly” after each wash! Ha… those were the days…
Oh, yes they are! They’re super comfy too! I have a pare and I can’t get out of them, they’re absolutly great in these hot summer days!
those shorts are excellent
I love the whole outfit!
x
It’s nice to see shorts that aren’t sprayed on!! Although I do wonder if they’re just make my bum balloon!
what a great look!
Like it very much!
love the oufit, and the shorts are perfect!!
They are cute. In fact, that whole outfit is just cute.
This ensemble is perfect. I just wish it wasn’t so ridiculously hot in Hong Kong and I could bust out my blazer + shorts combo. Guess the shorts alone will have to do…
“no strings attached” LOL.
I made baggy shorts out of some old jeans. I love the look!
scarf!
ha “no strings attached”. you just slay me, joanna. these are awesome. im gonna make my own- and they are gonna be actually my ex-boyfriends pants!
love the idea of the a kooky name for the no-strings-attached jean short, but am thinking they should change the name to the “one night stand” short?
i can’t focus on her shorts, that scarf is adorable!!
oh my, i love that entire outfit! it looks just perfect for summer weekends :)
HI Joanna, I just recently saw your Party theme post, and the photo of you sitting in a Nightwood chair. It made me so happy! I recently went to Nightwood’s studio and met Nadia and Myriah. Their story was so inspirational and I was so excited to see you support them.
cute!
they look sooo comfortable, yet stylish at the same time :D
xx
I love the look of the entire outfit, especially the scarf. :)
Maybe I should look into some baggy jean shorts…hmmm
Love the great scarf she’s wearing…
very cute and comfy looking. I really need a new pair of good shorts. now that I’m a grown woman of 24 I can’t be walking around in those itty-bitty shorts I used to wear in high school and college. not to mention the fact that my butt has gotten a lot bigger since then! haha. but really, it can be tough to find a good, well-fitting pair of shorts that are somewhere between teeny-bopper-ish and old-lady-frumpy.
they’re MORE than cute – they’re… amazing. yes.
Hands down one of my favourite looks!
As for returning things to ex-boyfriends, I’m all for it. I’m not a believer in the “this corner of the house represents money” aspect of feng shui, but there is something to be said for every object in your home having good or bad energy–in that when you see it, you either think happy thoughts or not. So when a certain medical school student invited a bunch of drunk strangers to our tiny studio apartment (one of whom masturbated in the bathroom to one of my art books) at a party that was supposed to be for thanking me for all the work I did to get him into medical school) and then had me cook and serve a four course meal without help, and then disappeared on an unannounced cross-state roadtrip later that night with the gang, only to show up 36 hours later, just after I had finished washing the last dish–well, no, I don’t think I’ll keep that beautiful portrait of an underwater crab that you took, Sean. I mailed it to his parents.
Those look so comfy!! :)
really cute and easy to do yourself so double points!
LOVE that blazer.Madewell does a great job of making simple casual so stylish.
i have the ex boyfriend jeans from madewell and am madly in love with them! I’m sure the shorts are just as fabulous!
I would love to be able to walk out the door with an outfit like this…I have LOTS of jeans with holes in which could be made into shorts..love it!
Char.
I agree with Poke Salad Annie… but still, very cute shorts.
I want to be her! Clothes and all. xo Joan
Cute Cute Cute!
I’m 100% with Poke Salad. LOVE the look. …even better when it comes from an actual worn pair of men’s jeans.
cuteness! i love the blazer, too.
those shorts look cute and comfy for the summer…but I’m in love with the casual blazer + scarf combo-she looks lovely!
Love the whole outfit!
i really like this look. all of it. so forgive me for saying, but i can’t believe they charge 72 dollars for a pair of cut off grubby men’s jeans(!). you could go to any thrift store, or boyfriend/brother/father/husband closet and make these yourself for 10 bucks or less. (just sayin)
gorgeous look though :)
Usuaully I’m not a fan of shorts; but I really want these.
Adorable … but I can’t take my eyes off that scarf.
totally! and that cute jacket and scarf add to it!
Oh I like this – perfect weekend wear!
so cute!
Those are probably the best shorts ever. I want them!
Oh I love that whole ensemble. So comfy!!
cute!
