I like reverse portraits of people, but birds are even funnier. The backwards position gives them so much personality. It’s like they’re rolling their eyes and thinking, Oh God, this woman with the camera again.

Hello
i think the reverse perspective gives me a chance to take a second look at those gorgeous feathers.
Thank you.
Such a nice one.thanks a lot for sharing.
Really i enjoyed it…very funny…
Very clever! And I agree, quite funny.
they have an old man stance!!
Interesting concept … I like those pictures!
OMG…I love it!!!! These are hilarious! I’m a sucker for funny birds! Its so cool to see things from different angles for a change! Great post and blog btw!
Sooo lovely and inspiring!
i hate a bird, but i love these shots!
There is an Andrew Bird album cover like that.
haha, I look at these and immediately think, ‘must have been a grumpy little so and so!’
fantastic!!
OMG these are exquisite! I could design a whole fashion line inspired by these birds. If I were a fashion designer, that is.
ooo
andrew bird did an awesome tour poster last year with backwards birds. love it.
ha! i adore these. i’ve been really into reverse portraits lately too. perhaps it’s just that the different perspective makes us fill in the blanks. fabulous find.
these are fantastic!
my boy loved them, too. we want reverse wedding portraits.
It is like they are refusing to be photographed!!! (Are you really blogging from Paris??!!!! Hope you’re having fun!)
These are so very beautiful!
xo

I love this! Wouldn’t it be funny to have their fronts hung in another room?
I’m actually finding them a bit creepy! :S
very cool…
I think a reverse person portrait is also a brilliant idea.
I always love the unexpected!
I love these photos and I love owls! Awesome post. ♥
I would love to get one of these for my hallway! So fabulous!
oh my goodness, i find those really really scary! very disconcerting. and i seem to be the only one!
This is so cute.
This is actually kinda adorable!
Oh! So sweet!! :)) I liked the part about the woman and camera!!! :))
apart from the funny though, i think the reverse perspective gives me a chance to take a second look at those gorgeous feathers. something i dont always pay attention to.
too funny. birds with sass.
Poor annoyed little birds! They are probably plotting revenge…
I love these.
you make me laugh. I completely agree with you..these are so funny and ironic.
haahahahhhahaha you’re hilarious
LOL! Yesterday when I took my little boy to the zoo, this is all we saw of the owls!
The funniest thing I’ve read and seen today- thanks!
aww they look so soft…
Aren’t those feathers beautiful?! Wow. :)
Birds kind of scare me, but these portraits actually make them a bit more likable!
:)
This perspective is so interesting an beautiful. I am fascinated with birds, they are so quirky. I took about 100 pictures of shorebirds on my recent trip to Florida (there is a detail pic of an Egret on my latest post).
Funny, I get that “Oh God, there’s that woman with the camera again” look all the time!!!
Plus, their backs are so beautiful! I’ve been going through a little bird-photographing obsession lately.
Hee. I can’t help imagining their faces, though. Bird eyes can be so expressive and expressionless all at once, ya know?
so cute…it looks like they have attitude…i love it!
At the risk of sounding like a crazy bird lady (which i am..hence the blog name too) I have a million “back” bird photos of my own birds. But, honestly I must say, every inch of them is beautiful! Good to know I’m not THAT crazy. haha. thanks for posting!
these are SO great!
How completely gorgeous. You always look at the face of the bird, but look how divine they are from behind. I love these photos!
Haha! So true! Wonderful photos, though!
They look so cool with their backs to the world like that. “Talk to the back cause the face ain’t listening!”
hahaha too funny… this post made me laugh.
