I got a cute red skirt for this summer it has been my go to item so far. it’s pretty and adds pop. I would like to ad more bright colored skirts to the fold!
I am inspired too! I am going shopping this weekend and plan on loading up on lots of colorful dresses and skirts – not only are they cooler (literally – more breeze!!) ;) – but they’re a feminine alternative to wearing shorts and capris ALL SUMMER. (And in Texas, all summer means from March until October) :)

I am going to try and branch out this summer too. One of my best friends is always wear skirts and looks so cute…and I am usually in jeans and tshirt.
nice, stylish but simple red skirt ensemble. throwing on a dress/skirt in the morning seems so tedious to me; however, over the past few months, i’ve convinced myself that wearing pretty needs to be a bigger part of my life. it’s becoming such a joy to throw on a great dress in the morning. it’s light, sweet, freeing, and beautiful.

I agree! I’m such a jeans and t kind of girl and I have all of these lovely things hanging in my closet but the uniform always wins for some reason. I think this will be the summer I actually break away…and with this lovely ensemble as inspiration hopefully it won’t be too hard for me!
