My giant head is too big for most hats (seriously) (I wore a men’s large college graduation cap), but this neckwarmer from Pipsqueak Chapeau almost makes me excited for winter.

Thanks for your great post.I like this very much, please write more about these, wait for your update.
Oh this makes even me excited for fall! I need to source some out like this one.
Looks so comfy! Especially when you think about cold cold winter…
Joanna, I refuse to believe your head’s too big for a hat! I also wear men’s size large hats but they can look good! (for example, this is a man’s hat from J Crew: http://www.noraleah.com/post/875702312/new-purple-sunglasses-to-replace-those-lost-in)
I don’t think you should give up on hats! You’re adorable and chic, and there’s a hat — many hats! — out there for you. Trust me on this. I actually believe that bigger heads can look BETTER in hats because we can really fill ’em out.
PS: I saw your husband on the street the other day! It was weird ’cause obviously we’ve never met and I was like, hey I know that guy! Took me a good long while to figure out how. Ah, NYC. No one knows it’s a teeny tiny town. :)
This so so so cute, but is also really expensive! Trust me, all you ladies can learn how to make this yourself, it is easy! (I am thinking of making one myself!)
I can never get neckwarmers to look quite right. Maybe it’s just the ones that I’ve tried out so far, but the yarn has been really stiff on most. They always seem like the coziest things though!
I, too have a GIANT head! My Mom found a pattern for the Anthropologie headwrap you featured a couple of days ago and she’s giving it a go! I’ll have to post the after. Anyways, I had to text her and remind her “keep in mind I have a ginormous head!”
Ooooh. I love this! I have a gigantic head, as well. My toddler inherited my giant head, and he wears a hat from the men’s department at H&M. It’s quite hilarious.
p.s.) People with large heads are supposedly seen as more attractive. So there’s that…
I’m cracking up that you had to wear a men’s large cap at graduation. Amazing.
I could not want this any more than I do RIGHT now
That’s gorgeous and TOTALLY knittable. A pair of chunky needles, some fabby cosy wool and you’d be away!
I love winter fashion passionately, EVEN when I’m pregnant & can’t go nuts on all the latest styles.
I CANNOT get excited for winter. But this ‘snood’ does make me happy that I can at least try to stay warm in a stylish way…
Hi, where did you get this information can you please support this with some proof or you may say some good reference as I and others will really appreciate. This information is really good and I will say will always be helpful if we try it risk free. So if you can back it up. That will really help us all. And this might bring some good repute to you.
Oooh, if only I lived somewhere cold enough to use one!
love this! adding it to my wish list!
i love it, i need it!!! (I also have a HUGE head. most hats give me headaches)
I love this! I feel like I can’t wear scarves because I have a short neck. There’s always an issue, isn’t there? ;)
Love that kind of scarf, I’ve one that is enourmous and it feels so good to practically hide my head inside of it in cold winter days.
Pretty good post. I just stumbled upon your blog and wanted to say that I have really enjoyed reading your blog posts.Any way Ill be subscribing to your feed and I hope you post again soon.
I likey!
it’s feeling like fall! i love it!
So glad I’m not alone in the giant head department! This neckwarmer looks super cozy. (:
big headed ladies UNITE! this reminds me I have a bag full of yarn from last winter that I need to turn into a neckwarmer STAT.
I love thick winter scarfs like this. They keep your neck entirely covered and look so unique! They aren’t difficult to make either. Thanks for sharing!
x, Molly
ooooh so lovely! I have a feeling it’s going to be a cold winter.
I feel strangely comforted by the fact that I’m not the only one who has this problem.
Love this, so cute and cozy!
i am totally asking for this for Christmas. i need it – bavaria is cold in the winter!!!
Love it, love it, love it – and I SO want one!!
I saw this, one year ago, in one of the shops and than I promised, that I´ll buy at least one. I never saw the “perfect one”, which I want.
But this year, I promise :D, I´ll buy it! :D
Very cool looking. I like the idea of a scarf the way it does not go over my head and mess my hair. However, this looks more warm and snugg.
The neck warmer looks amazing for the cold winters we get in Chicago!
It’s so comforting to know I’m not the only person with a ginormous head. I have spent my whole life having people tell me “oh, this hat here is E-N-O-R-M-O-U-S, it’s bound to fit you”. And guess what? It never ever does…
This will be my fall knitting project. yessss
I wish I had a giant head. I have such a tiny head. *cries*
I’m glad to hear of another woman with a giant head. I’ll never forget a high school algebra project that somehow involved measuring the circumference of our heads. I cheated and shaved a few inches off my measurement, so that I didn’t feel embarrassed when sharing my numbers with my partner on this project, the Justin Timberlake look-alike (this was a big deal in 9th grade!) who sat next to me.
The upside: we can wear really awesome vintage men’s hats! I inherited my grandpa’s collection. And, as my mom would say, “more room for being brainy!”
Joanna! Everything in this shop is so perfect. Have you stop by the actual shop in Greenpoint? It’s so adorable.
One of my favorite looks…ever
Love this. I had better get knitting, or get my mother-in-law to get knitting if I want it any time soon !!!
Beautiful. My mother just knitted one of these for me – they are so great. Glad to learn that you, Joanna, and lots of your readers have giant heads as well:-D I can never find any hats – we really should start a club! I try to comfort myself by pretending that it must be my giant brain that causes the giant head:-)
JESSICA – that comment is so hilarious – big head and big calves – that is so me!
I’m wearing mine today!
It makes me feel better that you have a large head! My whole family is big-headed. My mom always said it meant we had bigger brains, but I’m not sure science supports that! In any case, this neckwarmer would be gorgeous and cozy on anyone, no matter what size her head!
That is a fall must have!!
very nice ;)
You are such a pretty little thing I find it hard to believe you would be forced to wear a men’s size large grad cap! Well they say big heads mean big brains so I guess it’s a good thing :) This neck warmer looks cozy, perfect for a cold rainy day like today!
that is a beautiful neck warmer! sometimes i wish it got cold enough where i live to wear stuff like that, but i would sweat out of it!
LOL I would never have guessed you had a big head! I think mine’s pretty large too… large brain I guess? hehe :) I love neckwarmers! I’ve knitted myself a few and I’m looking forward to digging them out of my drawers again.
So easy to replicate that you’ll all hit yourselves in the giant noggin for not doing so. I love Pipsqueak C. sooo much, but really…an idiot can do this on large needles in a night or two of watching whatever junk tv soothes one’s soul. I want PChapeau to bring back that great headband/ear muff thingy that Joanna featured a couple of years back. In the holiday gift guide.
ciao
i love it…tres chic!
These are really fun! my friends mom actually made these for all of us last year, and really they look so great with any outfit. even a t-shirt and jeans! great picture, hre!
UNREAL. This is sooooo nice.
I’m going to see if my Grammy can replicate… here’s hoping :D

That neck warmer is lovely!… wish I could wear one but it is stifling in here.
Any post that starts off with “my giant head” deserves a comment. =P
Very pretty and cozy looking neckwarmer.
I, too, have a giant head (accompanied by a tiny body) – sadly, I used to get called bobble head as a child. That neck warmer? I NEED.
Very nice!!! :-) And thanks for the big head info too! Makes some of us feel better that we’re not alone in this whole big-headed world!! ^_^
Ohh I really love this neckwarmer…I wish I would know how to knit…Its such a great skill to have:)
Kisses,Joanna
That knit is beautiful and I am in love with the color! <3
LOVE YOUR SITE! iM ADDICTED! As a new Blogger, you are one of my FAVS!

I have a big head too – it doesn’t look big then everyone is always surprised when I demonstrate that normal hates don’t fit on my head. I have a large men’s bike helmet haha. Big heads aside, this neckwarmer is awesome! I need to take the plunge and buy one them one of these days.
It’s comforting to know I’m not the only one with a big noggin. It’s always disappointing when I see a cute hat and it just sits awkwardly on top of my head…
That neckwarmer is awesome!
I am the opposite, I have a teeny tiny head. I wear juniors / kids sized hats.
I love that neck warmer, just wished it got cold enough here in SoCal to need it :(
That’s such a cozy looking neckwarmer! I usually just stay with big scarves, but I’m definitely willing to change it up! Love!

Another girl well endowed in the noggin over here (raises hand)! Don’t feel bad, there are a lot of us out there.
I do love this chunky knit neck warmer, not only because when it starts to snow you could pull it over your hair in a makeshift hood, but I could finally walk in the New England wind without my scarf blowing off!
I am the same when it comes to hats! I have to find really stretchy ones or wollen ones with a loose knit. I love scarves andear muffs though! Cannot wait to wear mine!

That is so beautiful. I can only imagine how cozy and warm it is!
shelia, we should start a hat company.
haha, becca, that is the funniest thing! oh man.
I have a big head, too. All of us “big heads” should start our own group of some kind. And, here I thought I was a freak.
So pretty, I want one!
Story of my life! I once tried to go skiing and find a ski helmet, but turns out they don’t make them in my size as the plastic would crack! I was both embarrassed but thoroughly entertained.
