Thanks for sharing this heartwarming article on the best parenting moments! It’s always nice to hear about the joys and highlights of parenthood.
My sister is in Iraq, and we sent her a Christmas box in December. It hadn’t affected her until last week, when it was brought to our attention again. I also felt she and her friends could enjoy an inconspicuous role-playing card game, so we hid it.
My kids being my cheerleaders ialways catches me off-guard, its so precious. After preparing a delicious snack for her, my daughter remarked “mama, this should be in the shops!”
There is SO MUCH more Taylor Swift than I anticipated. Who knew??
I’m 16 years older than my brother and he introduced me to Taylor Swift in her Teardrops on my Guitar days. He was seven or eight, a WWE fanatic, diary of a wimpy kid enthusiast and every single time we got in the car it was Taylor Swift all the way there and back!
Reposting from the amazing Minneapolis -based house tour this week, which inspired a Minneapolis/ St. Paul Cup of Jo gathering idea!
If anyone would like to get together for a Cup of Jo + Twin Cities meetup, send me an email and I’ll connect all of us! nataliemarie1122@gmail.com
Also, if anyone is headed to see Taylor in Minneapolis today or tomorrow, LUCKY YOU!!! Have the BEST TIME!
In December, we sent a Christmas box to my sister in Iraq. It never got to her, and so when it came back to us just last week, we opened it to dispose of all the 6 month old heat-ruined edibles. We had also tucked in an unassuming role playing card game that I thought she could use to pass the time with her friends. She’s not really a board game type IRL, so I told my nine year old he could open the game. We just played three rounds. It’s called ‘Coup’ and you have to be a really good bluffer. He beat me in two rounds, I could absolutely not believe it. This little sucker never lies, I had no idea he could be so good at it. It’s making me rethink things.
Also, I highly recommend Coup. So far we’ve only played with two players, and the rounds only take about five minutes. It’s the perfect game for nine year olds. At first it seems like a lot of rules, but once you get the hang of it, you just basically bluff your way through.
This week alone, my teens gave me the play-by-play on the Ocean Quest Tragedy and I was in awe of how much they gleaned. And I asked my basketball loving son if he’d heard about Chris Paul and his new book and he could tell me every team he played on.
For his Eagle Scout project, my son recently built a concrete ping pong table for our local community park. At the unveiling, he said he wanted to play the first game against me. I was so touchedI. I’ve supported him through the years and he wanted us to share this special moment. As he gave me a hug he said “I just really want to make sure I win the first match” 😂 my sports victories peaked when he was about 7
Congrats! There is a TON involved to earn Eagle rank – much more than people realize!
This made me chuckle :)
Florencia this made me laugh so hard!
Your son sounds lovely. Very impressive project!
Great job you.
I love this in so many ways, haha! Well done, new Eagle Scout :)
