Does every kid get obsessed with the Titanic at one age or another? I remember going through a serious phase — poring over my dad’s coffee table book, watching The Unsinkable Molly Brown, crushing hard on Leo — and Anton has been an enthusiast for most of his young life.
We’ve read many, many books, but one that stood out recently was this choose-your-own-adventure tale. As the reader, you pick a type of person — passenger, crew member, or stowaway — and learn about the ship’s history as you draw yourself in and out of various predicaments. It’s fun and interactive, and Anton and I were both super gripped. (It would also be a great time-consuming activity for a flight or road trip.)
Do you know any Titanic enthusiasts? Any other books you’ve been enjoying recently?
P.S. A seven-year-old’s guide to surviving family travel, and what are your most beloved children’s books?
