Love! My mother in law recently hand-drew a set of 9 animal drawings in ink for my son’s bedroom, and every night we make sure to say “goodnight” to all his friends (and the mountains!).

I love love love that giraffe. But any one (or two, or three) of these would be terrific. It just depends upon what resonates with Anton. I am a painter, and have been in the mood to paint some cute animals recently, and offered a couple of my paintings to a friend of mine who runs a chain of early childhood learning centers. She said no, saying that realistic representations of animals are better than cute illustrations for helping children to understand the real world…this is something I never knew.

I love this idea. Our stairwell is a long and narrow and needed a little something. We painted it white to brighten the area but that made it long, narrow, and bright but still boring. One year I gave my husband a photo of bears and he gave me a photo of a goat because I love farm animal rescues. That was the start of the hall of animals.

I’m obsessed with that elephant! I’m an animal artist over here ??‍♀️ Painter/illustrator and I have some lovely fun pieces (and puzzles) that are definitely kid friendly and also sneakily educational – all my work is based on true animal stories!

Wow! The elephant HANDS DOWN is my favourite and all of its related products!
I am tempted to whip out my markers and try my hand at creating my own animal drawings.

My 3 year old and I are big fans of Kelsey Oseid aka @kelzuki. Equal parts adorable, cool, and educational–looks great for a nursery but not too precious that it feels babyish when kiddos are older.

We found the best line drawing of a bear to go with our camping nursery theme from Etsy! It looks just like our state flag too (CA) which is a bonus, and one of the easiest animal names for my kid to say in spanish – ‘oso’.

My friend, an artist, makes the COOLEST work featuring animals. I’m always pestering her for a price list and she never delivers, so not sure how “acquirable” they are, but you should at least check her out on IG! @emmasteinkraus
