The Prettiest Mother’s Day Flowers

The Bouqs Spray Rose Bloom Bouquet

Have you heard of The Bouqs Co.? They’re a flower delivery service that makes the loveliest bouquets for Mother’s Day, birthdays, or really any occasion. Mother’s Day is May 10th this year, and I’m planning to surprise my mom with one of these, below…

The Bouqs Co. helps farmers grow their businesses by partnering with eco-friendly farms that minimize waste, recycle water, and use sustainable growing practices. Their motto is “love first, flowers second, kindness always,” which shines through in how they run their business. I’ve sent my sister and mom Bouqs flowers many times during both hard and happy times.

Their handcrafted bouquets are designed in-house and cut fresh at the farm. They ship in bud form so they’re long lasting. On all their bouquets, you can choose the number of blooms you send — original, deluxe or grand — so there is something for every occasion and budget.

Here are some of my favorites. Which one would you choose?

Bouqs Ballerina Tulip Bouquet

How beautiful is Ballerina? With soft pink tulips on gently sloping necks, it couldn’t be prettier.

Bouqs Knockout Tulip Bouquet

And if you like a mix of colors, Knockout really lives up to its name — the shades of these pink and purple tulips are stunning.

Bouqs Sana Cruzn bouquet

Santa Cruz’n is a gorgeous gathering of spray rose blooms in spring colors. For this bouquet, you can choose between 40, 80 or 120 (!) blooms. (This bouquet is so lovely, as well.)

Bouqs Sunflower Bouquet

When you can’t be there to hug someone in person, there’s the Hello Sunshine Bouq, with bright, cheerful sunflowers. How nice would this be to send to a friend or loved one who could use a little pick-me-up?

Bouqs Mother's Day Bouquet

Last but certainly not least, the Mother’s Day Bouq is a gorgeous assortment of long-stemmed roses. Classic with a fun twist, it’s the perfect arrangement for moms, aunts, grandmothers, or any mother figures in your life.

If you’d like, you can browse my favorites here, as well as all their gorgeous arrangements.

Bonus for all readers: Today, The Bouqs Co. is offering 20% with code CUPOFJO20. Good through May 11th. Thank you so much!

Are you planning to send flowers this Mother’s Day? Which of these bouquets is your favorite?

Have to say, I ordered through this promo for my mom and couldn’t be more disappointed. I would never order from Bouqs again. They should have done better. I would have stuck with them.

  2. Molly S says...

I ordered through this promo, and I’m disappointed in the results. I am talking now to a representative; Iwas 12th in line, the process has taken more than 45 minutes. I purchased a rainbow freesia bouquet (deluxe), for my mother, but it only has orange and white flowers. The website bouquet shows at least five to six colors. I ordered early for Friday delivery to avoid any problems. Very disappointed. Currently they’re only offering me a discount on another bouquet but I would not order with them again if their bouquets look like this.

  3. Thanks for the recommendation. I just ordered some for my Mom. Happy Mother’s Day to you!

  4. Daniela says...

I just ordered some for my mom for mother’s day because the local shops in her area are not delivering currently. I signed up for the subscription and can’t wait to get a bouquet for myself in June! I love supporting small farms and these blooms are just gorgeous.

  5. Carol says...

Gorgeous. If you’re in Rhode Island or near Tiverton, note Little State Flower Company. I used to work at a farm with the owner. She’s an artist who chooses very special flower varieties and had a great sense of bouquet design, no “roundy moundies.” I just love seeing her Instagram account—and used it for inspiration when I was tasked with putting together arrangements with farmers’ market flowers for a church member’s funeral. And for my home.

  6. Emily says...

I’d recommend supporting a local florist for Mother’s Day, especially this year! Florists are really struggling since all events and weddings have been cancelled. Many are offering online only ordering or ordering on the phone for local delivery. I’ve done it a few times “just because” lately because I’m worried my local shop will go out of business.

    • Claudia says...

As a florist, I second this! Many of us are also trying to support our local flower farms, which are also affected by the shut-down, by sourcing flowers locally. One beloved farmer here in Philly just opened her flower fields to some of us florists so we could harvest and design with flowers that would otherwise be going to waste by not being used during their bloom time. By shopping local, you not only support the florist, but also their suppliers and the local environment.

  7. Holly says...

I just order some for my mom and my boyfriend’s mom for Mother’s day!
    They are gorgeous!

Thank you so much for this ♥️

  8. Hallie says...

Hi COJ! It seems that most bouquets cannot be delivered on May 10. We want to place two orders for our Grandmas! Any recommendations? Thanks!

  9. Denise says...

I love the flowers in this post, but the vases are beautiful as well. Do you have info for the vases in the post? The pink one with the bouquet “Ballerina” is my favorite, but really, they are all so lovely.

  10. Alanna says...

I had the unfortunate experience of ordering from Bouq’s last week, and I was so embarrassed by the final product. It looked nothing like what was on the site. When my relative posted her flowers on social media, I couldn’t help but cringe. Looked like it came from the bucket at a CVS or RiteAid.

I wrote them a complaint, and they sent out another bouquet today. However, I haven’t confirmed that its anything better. This pandemic is proving to be challenging for plenty of small businesses, but it’s important to maintain a standard — especially when you’re still charging full price. Or at least gives folks a heads up that quality is suffering, and let them decide if they still want to make the purchase.

    Just an FYI…

    • Summer says...

Hey Alanna – see my comment below. They do not come arranged nor with any instructions on how to arrange them like the picture – it’s my biggest frustration with them.

  11. Michele says...

Just got farmer’s choice for my mom! She’ll love that they were fresh and sustainably grown.

  12. summer says...

I’m a fan of bouqs (the arrangement of irises and tulips is my absolute favorite!), but I do have feedback. WHY aren’t the flowers already arranged like the pic when you get them? I always do the deluxe and it’s basically two bouquets that I have to assemble myself. I do think the quality of the flowers is great, but it seems like A LOT of DIY for the price point, and many of their competitors send already arranged bouquets.

    • Clare says...

Completely agree! It’s like you send someone a chore to complete.

    • Mary Beth says...

I have always love arranging flowers. It’s not that I am especially skilled at the activity – I have never taken a class – however I enjoy the opportunity to relax and practice artistic expression.

    • Tanja says...

Damn, I just ordered these for my sister for mothers day and now I’m regretting it. I should have gone with tried and true, Costco.com.

    • Joanna Goddard says...

Tanja, we got the bouquets to our house and they were so fresh and beautiful! I wouldn’t worry! Xoxo

  13. Katy says...

Hi CupofJo – Is the special discount only for 1 time purchases or for the subscription too? Not seeing a place where I can put the CUPOFJO20 discount code. Thank you!

    • Joanna Goddard says...

we’re asking right now! they’re on california time, but we will get back to you asap xoxo

    • Maureen says...

Hi Katy, unfortunately the promo code is not offered on subscriptions. Sorry about that!

  14. Sarah says...

I love this company! Been using them for years since seeing them on Shark Tank. The ordering experience is super easy and the flowers are gorgeous. Used your promo code today to order for my stepmom. Thank you!

  15. Mimi says...

Since I get regular email offers from Bouqs– I found my email from them before I got to your blog. Hope you know that they said, “We teamed up with our favorite blogger and Super(cool) mom , Joanna Goddard, for the best Mother’s Day Gift Guide. ….” You are definitely one Super Cool Mom, Joanna !!
I really enjoy your blog and all the team members who work behind the scenes.

    • Joanna Goddard says...

aww, i love that, mimi! thank you for sharing!

  16. Melanie Bell says...

Those are gorgeous bouquets! Also a great option for stepmom’s day, which is May 17 this year. : )

  17. MB says...

Hello, if anyone from Bouqs is reading. I’m trying to order from the UK for delivery in the US but not able to access the bouqs homepage. Is this an error or is it not possible to order from abroad? Thanks!

    • Hayley says...

Same thing is happening to me :(

    • Tanja says...

I ordered from Canada to be delivered in the USA and just paid using paypal.

  18. nadine says...

Those pictures are beautiful! My birthday is coming soon and I told my boyfriend the only thing I would like would be flowers. Perfect timing!

  19. abigail says...

really weird – the bouqs site keeps saying ‘access denied’ and I can’t use their site.

    • Joanna Goddard says...

are you outside of the US? unfortunately orders can only be placed within the US because of security parameters. i’m so sorry about that!

    • heidi says...

Just ordered some for my mother’s birthday earlier and was pleasantly surprised to see cup of jo on the website! I also had problems with ‘access denied,’ but it worked once I logged in.

  20. JoJo says...

Bouq’s is a fav. but I’ve moved to the UK for a year+ (currently still here) and they don’t allow, it seems, for ordering on international IPs. What a bummer. Guess I’ll figure out a way around it.

  21. Agnès says...

Did you get one for you joanna ? You totally should! Flowers are happy and beautiful . Take care. Love from France

  22. Genell says...

I would like to order some for my mother in Florida but I’m in France and having difficulty accessing the site page (error 1020 message).

    • Joanna Goddard says...

we’re asking them about this right now, please stay tuned! xo

  23. SG says...

Can’t access this site from Europe – any ideas of what I can try? Thanks!

    • Joanna Goddard says...

we’ll get right back to you!

    • SG says...

Thanks! No worries, but just so you know it’s still not working – I hope they’re registering all our attempts to connect to their site as coming from Cup of Jo ;-)

    • Joanna Goddard says...

Thank you! We heard back from Bouqs — as of now, orders can only be placed from the US due to security parameters placed on their site. So sorry about that!

    • Maureen says...

Hi there SG, at this time Bouqs is only able to fulfill orders placed in the US. Sorry about that!

  24. Tori says...

I love Bouqs! They have a subscription model, which we use to regularly send flowers to my MIL who lives in a nursing home. The flowers are always beautiful and they last a long time.

  25. CS says...

Oh those bouquets look so beautiful! I can almost smell the flowers! That sounds like a wonderful company! Thanks for sharing!

  26. D says...

Hello COJ! I’m based in Europe and can’t access the website through your links or with a google search:-( It says « access denied ». I’d love to order for my US-based mama! Is this happening to any other intl readers?
    Thanks!

    • Joanna Goddard says...

hi D, thanks for your question! as of now, orders can only be placed from the U.S. due to security parameters on bouq’s site. i’m so sorry about that! joannaxo

  27. Madi says...

Honest question: is it safe to get flowers delivered right now? I’ve been thinking about sending flowers to the nurse friends in my life (plus my momma, now that Mother’s Day is around the corner!) but am worried about unnecessary contact/transmission on the vase or box or flowers or something I haven’t thought of.

  28. Abesha1 says...

Local flower shops also need your business! Look for one with good reviews near your intended recipient,
and use pictures for reference when you call.

    • Clare says...

THIS! So so so much this. If you want small business to return after this shutdown, support them now!

    • Daniela says...

I tried local flower shops but the ones in areas that are under shelter in place don’t seem to be delivering, just FYI! I’ll be ordering Bouqs for my mama :)

    • YES!! As a wedding professional, I am seeing first hand how many florists are struggling right now. So many couples are (understandably) postponing 2020 weddings which is a huge part of many florists’ business. Please consider shopping local. :)

    • Christina says...

Hi all, I just wanted to pop on here and say that you’re also supporting a small business (Cup of Jo) by shopping Bouqs. We’ve all seen them trying to make do with banner ads while their typical sponsored content has waned. This is the first spon-con I’ve seen in a few weeks.
Also, Bouqs partners with local florists for at least some of the bouquets – per their website:
“Support your local florist! Our Hand Crafted Bouqs are designed by local Artisan Florists and delivered same day in as little as 2 hours.”
No matter what route you choose in ordering bouquets for Mothers Day, you will be doing a good thing. :) xo

    • Joanna Goddard says...

      thank you, christina!

    • Clare says...

Christina – you’re missing a big point. When you order with Bouqs, they might use a local florist, but they are sure as heck not giving the local florist all the profits. That’s a really big point to gloss over.

    • Abbi says...

I second this! You may also be able to support your local flower farmers – some farms are doing deliveries, and some farmers’ markets are helping their vendors connect to customers with contact-free options. A lot of the flowers provided through companies like these are grown and shipped from South America.

  29. N says...

I’ve had such great experiences with Bouqs! I ordered a huge bouquet of spray roses in January to celebrate the start of the semester, and it was such a treat!

  30. Regan says...

Just ordered Tropical Love for my mom. They are all so gorgeous! Thank you!

  31. jill d. says...

this came at the perfect time (and i just made an order for a friend who lost their grandmother to covid-19)….thank you for this… stay well and be safe everyone….

  32. Susan says...

I’ve ordered from The Bouqs Co. a few times now and they are wonderful! The service and the final product are so worth it- the flowers are always so beautiful! Plus, I love that you can choose not to receive a vase and other ‘fluff’ like other floral websites.

  33. Annie says...

I’ve started an annual tradition of sending Mother’s Day flowers to friends who are ‘unsung heroes.’ Last year it was a single coworker who was celebrating first Mother’s Day with her foster son. This year I think it will be a recently divorced friend creating a new normal with her two children. It’s so fun to surprise someone who deserves it and may not be otherwise celebrated. Thank you for this discount code…I used The Bouqs last year and will use them again!

  34. Naseem says...

    These are beautiful!

  35. Anna says...

Thank you for the reminder! I just ordered flowers for my mom and mother in law. And with the discount, i sprang for the vase for each of them! They really are very pretty arrangements.

  36. aki says...

This sponsored post is exactly what I was waiting for as a reader who wants to help COJ but lives outside the U.S. I’ll order flowers for my mom in NYC (she’s my former roommate but cares about me like a real daughter) right now!

  37. Kate says...

I honestly love the sponsored posts and affiliate links because I trust what COJ recommends. I miss the days of no distracting banner ads, but I understand times are tough for everyone.

  38. Sarah says...

I love this! I ordered some for my mom. FYI – You can also get 6% back with Rakuten.

  39. rach says...

just ordered the santa cruz’n for my mom in montana! we grew up on the beaches of santa cruz!! Lived in the bay area my whole childhood, so i loved the nod to that! thank you for that!! she will LOVE them.
Happy Mothers day to you too Jo!

    • Joanna Goddard says...

      i love that, rach!

    • Joanna Tsay says...

Ooh those few comments make me nervous but I just sent the Magnetic bouquet to a friend whose mom recently passed, fingers crossed that the quality is beautiful and she doesn’t mind arranging the flowers. I really loved the Standout bouquet but it wasn’t available for our area. Thanks for sharing!

  40. Hali says...

My mamma is getting the Ballerina! Feels good to get that checked off. If only I could send her a hug, too!! Thanks for the code!

  41. Theresa says...

Perfect timing…was planning on sending flowers, since I can’t be with my Mom this year. :( I will use your code! Thanks!

  42. Lindsay says...

I’m so doing this! Is the discount code good for subscriptions?

  43. katie says...

    Ordered! Thanks CoJ!!

  44. Robin says...

Swoon, these images are so beautiful and beautifully-styled.

  45. Kelsey says...

Hi, I selected from one of your options, but it’s saying the promo code doesn’t apply to the product? I selected Ballerina.

    • Maureen says...

      We will double check!

    • M says...

It didn’t work for me either but I still ordered. ♥️

  46. Micah says...

I love the ballerina :) I also love how creative you are in these tough times! I’m sure it’s not easy to stay inspired and motived for posts these days, not to mention to keeping all the business balls in the air, and I’m sending all the love from Texas!
