We love this NYT recipe for garlicky chicken thighs. We usually pair with rice, add spinach for some extra greens, and we use boneless thighs–quicker cooking time and I just prefer boneless. In Australia the Asians love to cook with chicken thighs in everything. And they are right they are way more juicy and flavorful than breast. I use them over breast any day! Curry. Stir fry. Lemon and tarragon.

You MUST buy ‘a bird In the hand’ by Diana Henry. A while cook book about chicken, but she loves chicken thighs the most. Diana Henry can do nothing wrong (and all her other cook books are divine)

Yes to chicken thighs! I refuse to cook chicken breasts anymore. (And it especially makes me happy that they’re much more forgiving of possible overcooking.) Lucinda Scala Quinn’s Baked Chicken with Honey-Whole-Grain Mustard Glaze from Mad Hungry is a tried and true for me.

Here to say: congratulations on learning that chicken breasts are total B.S. Thighs or die, man.

You can use chicken thighs in place of breasts in any favorite recipe. One of our favorites is chicken cacciatore.

I basically live on chicken thighs.

I also just make a simple greek-style marinade of garlic, olive oil, red wine vinegar and dried oregano and then grill chicken thighs in a grill pan (since I don’t have any outdoor in my NY apartment to really grill!) and it always comes out really great (we usually serve it as “greek bowls” with salad, rice or lemon potatoes, olives, feta and homemade tzatziki)

Also, if you chop thighs instead of breasts for use in stirfries you don’t really have to worry about overcooking and drying them out. I love to make stirfry with green beans or broccolini, chicken thighs, sichuan peppercorns and dried chillies.

I’ve always made Julia Turshen’s celebration chicken (that I found here!) with chicken thighs instead of the whole chicken, and it is *chef’s kiss*. Oh and Jenny’s honey-mustard chicken! (Not sure if she’s shared it here or if she’s just referenced it, but I know I found it via COJ.) Turns out you can just search your site for great chicken thigh recipes haha:)

This is the simplest and most delicious recipe for chicken thighs I’ve ever made/eaten. Be forewarned: it is messy. Yet, the skin is crisp and the meat flavorful. Every time I make it, we comment on the ease but amazing flavor.

I substitute chicken thighs for breasts in nearly every recipe, and it never goes wrong. Substitute by weight rather than number of pieces, and you may need to fiddle with the cook time a little bit but not as much if they’re boneless.

Make the panko ones! It’s the kind of dinner everyone looks forward to. Just made them last night for some comfort food :)

I am deeply intrigued by the garden. Beautiful! I’d love to do a natural garden the is low maintenance and provides space for native species. I would love to see a detailed post on how they transformed it! I looked at the before and after pics, but couldn’t make sense of them!
