Everlane

For years, Everlane has been the clothing brand we reach for over and over again. From jeans to dresses to shoes, their pieces take us from the office to date nights to knocking around on weekends. Here’s what the Cup of Jo editorial team is wearing these days…

Everlane

Joanna wears the Long-Sleeved Box-Cut Pocket Tee, Stretch High-Rise Skinny Jean and Day Heel, and carries the Day Market Tote.

“My everyday uniform is jeans and a long-sleeved tee,” says Joanna. “I love how these heels add a pop of color and brighten things up. They’re easy to walk — or bike — around in. I also LOVE this giant bag, which fits my laptop, wallet, a brush, a windbreaker, a few toys for the boys, everything.” (It also comes in seven colors.)

Another great thing about Everlane is that they believe in radical transparency — sharing the true cost of production (materials, labor, transport and duties) for each and every piece, so you know exactly how much it cost to make it. It feels good to know you’re getting a quality piece without an epic markup. Their ethical factories are given a compliance audit to ensure employees have fair wages, reasonable hours, and a good working environment. And they have incredible customer service.

Caroline wears the Box-Cut Pocket Tee and Straight Leg Crop.

“Inspired by Jackie O.’s summer look, I’ve been learning to embrace white pants,” says Caroline. “I thought I couldn’t pull them off, but this pair changed my mind. They’re super comfortable, with a soft, worn-in feel and a tiny hint of stretch.”

Everlane makes the kind of essential pieces you wear all the time. (Matching your outfit to your book is optional.) You can pull them on for work, dress them up for dinner or wear them to run errands. And you always, always look polished.

Kim wears the Weekend Tee Dress and Day Loafer.

Kim, our summer editorial intern, gravitates toward looks that are breezy and comfortable, especially in the warm months. “This dress checks all the boxes,” she says. “I’ve also had a thing for loafers since the second grade, and these let me walk around the city for hours without making my feet tired.”

A tee dress is one of the easiest pieces in existence — just throw it on and go. You can accessorize it approximately one million different ways. Plus, it could not be more comfortable.

What have you been wearing this year? Do you have any pieces from Everlane? We cannot recommend them highly enough. This super light sweatshirt is also amazing.
