I have tried many sea salt sprays and my favorite, by far, is by Sachajuan. Maybe I will try this mermaid one though, thanks! I have fine hair on the thinner side with a little natural wave and the only thing I use is sea spray. It gives my hair all the volume and texture I want.

A postpartum swimsuit that maxes out at a size 12!? Moloco’s website says “Motherhood is a Sisterhood” but people my size are clearly not invited to join their “tribe.” I do see they’re working to develop a size XL., but… The models on their website don’t even begin to represent the range of what new-mom bodies look like – size, shape or otherwise. I’m with the other moms who have already commented that this is not for them. Just pull your top down, nurse your little one, and then get back in the pool. Mamas of all sizes deserve to cool off after having a sweet but very hot little body pressed right up against their skin in the heat of summer.

COJ team – would you be able to compile a list of orgs we can donate to or other actions we can do to get involved with the crisis in Sudan? I feel like it is getting lost in the news cycle shuffle, but it is absolutely heart-wrenching. I plan on calling my representatives and donating, but I’m never quite sure what the best donation sites are. I’m planning on doing some of my own research this weekend. Thank you so much!

Oh my goodness. I misread the tag line and thought it said swimsuits for nursing homes. This pull have been interesting as well.

I do not bake very often anymore, but I have made Hetty’s Olive Oil Cake four times since you printed the recipe. It is good for dessert or breakfast, a gift to a new mother, a grieving friend, or a crew building a “Walking Wall” (Andy Goldsworthy in Kansas City). Everyone loves it – not too sweet, just right. Good whole yogurt produced the best result.

If I may — Raices is a great organization, but I see blogs everywhere asking people to donate there. As an Immigration attorney and advocate, I would like to offer a few other non-profits that could really use the funding and who are also doing really amazing things in other parts of the country.
1) Al Otro Lado is killing it down in Tijuana. Great organization helping immigrants from all around the world who are stuck in Tijuana while awaiting their chance to apply for asylum in the US. https://alotrolado.org/
2) Immigration Justice Campaign — this is a campaign started by several major organizations, including the American Immigration Lawyers Association. They are facilitating pro bono representation of immigrants in detention centers. https://www.immigrationjustice.us/home
3) National Immigrant Justice Center in Chicago — again, wonderful direct services to immigrants, national litigation on important issues, and supplying immigrants with pro bono attorneys. https://www.immigrantjustice.org/
4) El Refugio — this is a sanctuary in Stewart, Georgia, where an infamous private prison detains immigrant men (many of whom are fathers) in HORRIBLE conditions, far from family and legal representation. The denial rate on immigration cases is close to 100%, and not because these men don’t qualify, but because they don’t speak English, are not provide due process and fair hearings, have lost all hope because they can’t see their loved ones, and are not provided legal representation. Let’s spread the love! Raices is limited in its immigration offerings and has already been given millions of dollars.

RAICES does wonderful, important work, but there are a lot of other immigration organizations advocating to keep families together on a much smaller budget. I personally recommend the Detained Migrant Solidarity Committee’s Fronteriza Fund, the New Mexico Immigrant Law Center, Las Americas Immigrant Advocacy and other orgs in the El Paso corridor advocating for family unity.
