“My preference for Harry or William” hahahaha, nowadays I would say definitely Harry but did you see William when he was in his early 20s… oh my so dreamy dreamy. Lucky Kate!
Swap out bakery for bookshop and Oscar speech for Inauguration speech, and it’s pretty much me. I’m well into my 40’s and still pretty much convinced I’m going to both run a bookshop and run for president…
Things I am sure about today:
My preference for caramel syrup in my drink
Things I am not sure about:
How to make sugar-less caramel syrup
How to eat massive amounts of caramel syrup without gaining weight
The Oscar speech, hahaha ?
Fabulous Mari
Both lists are 100% right now. My thoughts don’t feel so private anymore. ?
This is great, I love that we all have so much doubt in our heads! It makes me feel like I’m not the only one whose a pretend-adult!
Thing I was sure about: what kind of house I wanted to buy, where it would be located and how I would decorate it. Then I met my boyfriend and we looking for a house now and it suddenly dawned on me that we have to compromise. It’s hard to let go of my single’s dream!
PS: Harry :o)
Harry has always been my man, but our names rhyme and we are both gingers… it would never work :(
Harry, without a doubt.
This made me laugh. I know exactly what I’d spend my millions on when I win the lottery; don’t know much about anything else.
Bahaha Heidi me too!!
Things I Feel Totally Sure About:
-Nazism is bad
-Donny Jon is not fit to be president.
ha! i can relate!
Does anyone prefer William to Harry? Is that a thing?
Savage! LOL
I didn’t say anything snarky… why would you censor it?
Ha #facts
MAN this is a truthful one!
Oh my word! I don’t think I’ve ever related to anything more than I relate to that column on the right… Creative, witty and completely real (as usual), Mari<3
When I moved into my new (to me) home in June I decided I wanted it to be a place where people did not doubt how we really felt about them. Being glib and snarky is so easy and safe for a laugh but I want to be always so sincere that there is no fear in the people we love when they leave!
I love this! What a beautiful intention.
Yes!
mari is such a gem! thanks for spreading her brilliance!
I also know exactly what my bakery would look like.
What’s so amazing about this is it’s just a list, and still somehow she makes it into art. She’s just too clever, love her stuff!!!
These are just the best. I love this little series. :)
This makes me shy to admit, but Mari is totally at the top of my baby names list these days!
Mari Andrew is the voice of our generation.
I wholeheartedly agree.
here, here! well said!
Absolutely love her and her incredibly perceptive art. Thank you for introducing her to us.
Sometimes I think I don’t ever truly like the guy I’m dating. I think I get caught in a whirlwind of liking the *idea* of liking him. Does that make sense? In my experience, it’s been hard to veer the relationship past surface attraction to genuine caring, which makes it hard to even have the relationship to begin with, which is also to say–no, I’ve never been serious with anyone. With that being said, and I know I’m kind of going off on a tangent here, but with that being said, I’ve been through enough experiences where it felt like I was losing my mind over nothing that I’m now in a place where I’m not even trying to date. It’s not that I’m giving up on the institution, it’s just that I’m giving up on the *idea* and focusing my energy on my own wellbeing. I firmly believe that we have to accept the possibility of lifetime singlehood before we can regard a romantic partner in a productive, emotionally fulfilling way. That’s just the conclusion I’ve come to. Maybe I’m stating the obvious. I just had to write that out. Thanks, y’all.
I just checked out and subscribed to your cool blog via Feedly, Wren! Lots to chew on there during bus rides. :)
Funny you should say this because this is EXACTLY what I’ve been thinking about. Thanks for articulating that so well!
