This is fantastic. I started freelancing a few months ago and I sometimes get comments from people (ahem – my mom and MiL) that sort of insinuate that freelancing is just a front for not having a real job. This made me laugh so much!

My go-to answer is to grin and say “Not this week!”. Also works for the “whenareyougoingtohavekids?” question!

this is hilarious. at thanksgiving my grandma asked my brother (who is heavily bearded) if he was working for the forestry service… and attending lumberjack parties. no idea what those are, but they sound fun!
