Have you seen these new emojis made from Old Masters paintings? I can’t stop laughing at their amazing expressions — which are so much more intense than those yellow faces.
“Whenever I was having a bad day at the office,” creator Molly Young told us, “I would go online and look at old Renaissance paintings — Dutch, Italian, Flemish. In the background, there were people making ridiculous faces, like faces of agony or rage. They were the faces I was feeling inside but couldn’t actually perform.” So, Molly and her partner Teddy Blanks created emojis featuring 40 faces that reflected emotions they felt on a daily basis.
How funny are those? Just passing along in case you’d like to spice up your texts. “Everyone I know has a really intense emotional life lurking beneath the surface,” says Molly. “These emojis are the way to show that.”
