A few weeks ago, our photographer Alpha and I flew to Nashville for a rare work trip. It was our first time there, and we fell in love with the city — including the friendly people, delicious tacos and overall chill vibes. Here are a few photos of the trip (including my new Away bag), if you’d like to see…

First off, I brought an Away carry-on bag. Their luggage has gotten so much buzz, and I was psyched to try one out. The carry-on suitcase (mine is navy blue) has a built-in phone charger. How awesome is that? Such a lifesaver.

In short order, we went in search of lunch and discovered fried avocado tacos. Also, the guy at the counter looked exactly like Justin Timberlake! I was like, “No, seriously, are you Mr. Timberlake?”

Here I am working on a five outfits shoot. (No spoilers!) We also shot a special house tour. It was a jam-packed trip, but we were able to squeeze in some fun extras. Here are a few more highlights:

We checked out 12 South Farmers Market, where I got some jam to bring home to the boys. Alpha and I also shared a SUSHI BURRITO! Have you ever had one? The tortilla was made of seaweed, and the inside was crunchy from carrots and tempura flakes.

I loved the home shop Wilder, which curates beautiful home accessories, like candles, vases and throws.

Robert’s Western World was a bumping scene, and live music spilled out of each bar and restaurant on Lower Broadway.

We met one of my oldest friends for dinner at Rolf & Daughters, where we sat outside, drank wine and ate sourdough bread with seaweed butter.

The last morning, we packed our bags and headed home. Now that I’ve traveled with an Away bag, I’m hooked. The luggage is beautiful, durable and designed with smart, thoughtful features that truly make traveling easier. For example, each one has a detachable laundry bag (as you can see above) so you can keep dirty clothes separate from clean clothes.

Every bag — there are seven colors and four sizes — also comes with a lock and luggage tag, and you can add a cool monogram. Also, they’re affordable. By selling directly online, Away can offer the same quality as luggage that costs two times more (their motto is “first class luggage at a coach price”). Bottom line: I’d highly, highly recommend them.
