Storq Caftan

When she was pregnant with her second child, my friend Courtney Klein craved something comfortable and chic to wear. So, she designed a cotton caftan that became her pregnancy and nursing uniform…

Storq Caftan

How beautiful is that? Here’s what Courtney says:

So there I was, the day we were leaving the hospital after having our first child, Nell, totally freaked out because I realized I would have to put on some real clothes. I had been wearing a robe for the past few days and that was working out: easy access for feeding, coziness, pantslessness. It ticked every box except for ‘can wear this out in public.’ So, I ended up putting on (and being photographed a zillion times in during the days and weeks that followed) a baggy top and leggings. But I knew we could make something better for all the new mamas out there. Cut to baby number two. We went to a wedding the day before my due date, and I wore my Storq caftan. Aside from the fact that I’ve never been so comfortable at a wedding, we actually ended up heading straight to the hospital from the party. I gave birth to Lew that night. The next day, I slipped my caftan back on and nursed him while resting. When we were ready to leave, I belted it and went out into the world feeling like myself.

Storq Caftan

The Storq caftan is so soft that Courtney describes it as “wearing a hug.” You can wear it with or without the belt (there are no belt loops, so you can tie it wherever it’s comfortable). It’s such a clean, easy look — one of the rare maternity pieces that works well for both lounging at home or slipping on with heels.

Today, Storq is giving three Cup of Jo readers a caftan in their choice of grey or blue. To enter, visit Storq’s site and then leave a comment below telling us which color you’d choose and where you’d wear your caftan. (I’d love to wear it, even though I’m definitely not pregnant or nursing!) The winners will be chosen at random on Tuesday night. Update: The winners have been notified. Thanks for playing!

Bonus for all readers: Get free domestic shipping on all orders with the code MAMAMIA, good through Sunday, October 23rd. Go here to see the whole Storq line.

Thank you, Storq!
