This week, Anton also had his first day of preschool (it went well!), and we had a little cake the night before. Finally, Alex and I are planning to see Black Mass tonight, which looks gripping. I think it’s worth pointing out that the debate question about the $10 bill came at the end of the evening and was intended as a silly moment, and most of the candidates responded with equally light-hearted answers… they aren’t really that ignorant. (Well most of them. Ha.)

I keep seeing people rave about La Croix. I gotta try it!

I 100% agree on the La Croix coconut water being super refreshing. And I’m not a sparkling water fan AT ALL. This stuff is awesome.

My husband and I are planning to go watch East Side Sushi. Have you heard of it? I don’t recall you ever mentioning if you like sushi!

On another note–the boys costumes!!!! I tried to get Luna to put on the Peppa Pig costume at Target and she freaked! Hahaha! But I had to try because it was hilarious ;)

I’ve tried the berry flavored Lacroix and it’s pretty good! I gotta admit that I was expecting it to have a little sweetness, but no. It just taste like berries. But that’s fine with me cause I’m used to drinking soda and lemon, no sweetener. They’re super cheap too, I got it for 55 cents. And it’s calorie free! I’d love to try the coconut flavor, but haven’t seen it here in the DR.

Way too funny that you put the most refreshing beverage as La Croix Coconut! My coworker and I love La Croix and were excited to try Coconut … to find out it tastes a bit like sun tan oil or perhaps some water downed alcoholic drink :) It is fascinating the variety of peoples’ tastes. I have a very uncool confession to make, but I can’t stand white rooms! I feel like they’re everywhere on the blogosphere, and all the cool-kids are loving white, but I just find it really drab and depressing! My house is full of bright colors and moody greys and blacks. White is just an accent for me!

haha, not uncool at all! definitely just a personal prefernece. we actually painted anton’s teeny nursery white, but now i’m regretting it because it does look small and a little claustrophobic sometimes. i think it would look much warmer with a pale peach or a super super super pale blue.

The article about debt resonated with me. A few years ago I was cajoled/begged/pleaded with by my husband to read Dave Ramsey’s book about getting out of debt. I highly recommend it or his podcast (even if I do not subscribe to all of his beliefs).

I was once terrified that the word “budget” and getting out of debt meant restrictions and oppression but it is actually the total opposite. I now have money for the things we want – without feeling restricted at all.

When the financial crisis hit around 2010, I moved from Canada to Arizona and saw that average everyday people were stuck in financial pit holes, I knew the face of debt was nothing to be ashamed about. They were every day intelligent people who were stuck and had no other choices (when everyone defaults in your neighborhood, you do it too even though you can pay because your house is worth nothing). So the link really resonated with me. It’s no secret that even with the 1% always being focused on, others are still struggling.
