Sweatshirt Dress

Over the past year, I wore this sweatshirt dress ALL the time. It’s one of those comfy dresses you can wear year-round, with self-tanner in the summer and wool tights in the winter. It’s pretty for the beach, bike rides, romantic dinners and work meetings. I wanted to recommend it, if you’re looking for an effortless everyday dress for this coming year.

P.S. Personally, I wore it with these wedges.

  1. I love so much those dresses but Madewell doesn’t ship to Italy: what a shame!!!

  2. your Very Very clothing dress is really eye catching and beautiful. Very creative design. Keep posting.

  3. Thanks for sharing this! Not only are sweatshirt dresses extremely comfortable and fitting, but they’re definitely sexy dresses and you can wear them any time of the year!

  4. Everything about this combination makes me happy!

  5. This is the CUTEST and COMFIEST looking thing I’ve ever seen!! And yet it can be accessorized to look kinda chic?? Love the clothing inspiration.

  6. Hannah. I agree that Roger`s storry is unbelievable… on thursday I got a brand new Dodge since I been making $8337 this-last/4 weeks and a little over 10-k last month. this is definitely my favourite-job Ive ever done. I actually started 8-months ago and right away was bringing home more than $84, p/h. I went to this site-=-=- BIT40.COM -=-=-

  7. oh, it’s darling ! how are the pleats along the waist, does the fabric add bulk ?

  8. I own that dress and LOVE it! It’s the perfect fit and flare! I sometimes wear it with a denim shirt underneath with the collar peaking out. It’s very versatile.

  11. I just bought it! Thanks for the suggestion! :)

  12. I love this outfit :) xoxo

  14. That looks like the best dress ever!

  15. I love it with those socks, super cute!

  16. Lovely, Joanna! I’m generally that basics girl. Jeans, sweaters, flats, and button downs. I like how clean, but fun this looks! And comfortable!

  17. This dress looks amazing! It’s such a neutral piece that looks like it can be dressed up or down, depending on the day! I’m definitely going to be on the lookout for something like this in the future! ~Heather P.

  18. Hi Joanna! Love this dress and you look adorable in it :). Question…I haven’t shopped at Madewell much before and am curious about sizing. Would you mind me asking what size you wear in it (I don’t mean to be rude!), it’s just that you and I appear to be a similar size and I want to order this dress online? Thanks so much!

  19. It’s really sweet. I love it paired with yellow shoes : )

  20. that dress looks so comfartable. I would wear it.

  21. i think i need this dress in my life <3 <3 <3

    xx, kara

  22. I love it! I personally have a billion – okay, over exaggeration, but about 10 – dresses like this or that are the same idea! I’ve transitioned them from season to season and I absolutely love them.

    Thanks for sharing!
OH and I loved the pairing with the pink flats! Super feminine and girly, plus perfect for that summer night.

  23. This looks soooo comfortable, but I love that it’s so stylish too! And the fact that you paired it with polka dot socks makes it even better :)

  24. …self tanner?

  25. OH! I LOVE IT :)

  26. I have been looking for a simple sweatshirt dress to wear. Thank you for sharing this. It’s so simple and chic.

  27. if i could, i’d be in sweater fabric all day errrday.

  28. Lisa, If I were you, I would get a small. I tried it on a while ago, and it ran big! I usually wear a small in most other brandsand I would have needed an extra small in this dress.

  29. Loved it on you, but when I tried it on, it made be look a bit on the pregger’s side. Also, I think in general, I have a hard time with dresses with high necklines. And they’re EVERYWHERE this season it seems like. I’m starting to feel like I’m the only one who can’t work them!

  30. So cute! I love the fashion posts, since you have such a “sweet but relaxed” vibe. It’s definitely what I aspire to also!

  31. I never was into the sweatshirt dress idea but it’s is so cold in New York right now as I’m guessing you know too, so I wish I was wearing this!! I’m in so many layers it’s a little crazy!! =)

  32. i’m buying this today. i desperately need some new clothes. did you feel like your style/taste changed post-pregnancy? everything i have from pre-pregnancy miraculously fits, but it just doesn’t seem to suit me anymore.

  33. fit true to size? I’m between 4/6 but figure it may shrink some after wear (usually wear M in tshirts, but S in dresses).

Of course it is back ordered online already (2/11/12 shipping date)

  34. This is totally my style. Thanks for sharing!

  35. I almost bought this dress a couple of months ago, but it made me look a little preggo (which I’m not at the moment) but I think it would be adorable with a little preggo belly (or on someone that doesn’t have a little belly left from their first baby like I do!)

  36. If only I could get a boob out! I’m breastfeeding! Maybe now that you’re pregnant again you can do some postpartum fashion posts? Stuff besides tees and jeans. I’m always on the lookout for cute clothes that are boob friendly. I’ve been lactating for 3 years, and now with a newborn it’ll be three more!

  37. Its so confortable, and also chic

  38. I have one from 3 years ago! Always a go to especially in summer!

    • Ah, perfect idea. Thanks Joanna!

  39. That dress is so cute! I love finding outfits that are really adorable, but comfortable enough to chase after the kids in :)

  40. Love it!! Anything that is both comfy and pretty is okay by me. :-)

  41. This is super cute! I love the dress meets casualness about it. Can you wear it while pregnant? I’m 20 weeks along and wondering if the waist line is in the right place or not…

  42. Love a multi-seasonal dress! Looks very forgiving for my post c-section belly, too. : )

  43. Adorable and comfortable? That’s a keeper!

  44. Really cute! And that’s coming from someone who’s usually not that into dresses :)

  45. You’re wearing that dress in your preg announcement post! What a special dress ;)
