I love how Vicente Wolf hung this Tina Barney photo over his bathtub. “They’re looking at me, I’m looking at them,” he says. Cheeky!

I think it is a great idea to put an art pieces on bathroom. That will make a restroom look very different and amazing. I love the bathroom in that photo.
Great post with lots of really good information!
love! i feel that bathroom art should always be cheeky.
that copper bathtub is all i can focus on! how beautiful.
i’ve always been a fan of bathroom art.
grande with an ornate, rich frame — love it!
it gives a little bit of “over-the-top” to one of the most overlooked rooms (decor-wise) in the house.

Great idea. Love Tina Barney’s work.
Joanna – I am absolutely honored that you thought to include my bathroom on your delightful blog! (I’m a fan)
Vicente
The more I see and hear of Vicente, the more I like his work!
Tina Barney is one of my favourite photographers. Sundance were showing a documentary about her work last year when she was travelling througout Europe snapping pics of various European aristos and BoBos. I still have it in DVR — great.
Neat — and that tub is to die for!
Love this!!!!!!!!
That copper tub is to die for!

The bathtub make me jealous!
i love love love art in a bathroom. but my bathroom is so tiny that i get worried about the steam ruining things! so i stick to super cheap prints or copies of art that i like. that way when they shrivel up i don’t feel bad about it haha
Tina Barney spoke at my school last year. I think her compositions and the patterns/colors that are in her photos are fantastic. I love the funky and fun energy the photo brings to such an elegant room.
p.s I really enjoy your blog joanna, thanks!
I don’t really know about bathroom art…but I love love love that copper tub! It’s a masterpiece! And that vase too.
I do like it but I have a Dali print of a woman looking out a window with her behind to me. lol The plumber loves it & wanted the name. It’s framed well & it’s only a print but otherwise, I think I’d keep really good stuff out of a bath. I have a window & so it stays pretty dry in there…
Yes, I’ll take the copper bath (& the servants to go with it…a lot of cleaning)
That is just too funny. I think I would spend my bath laughing out loud! How delightfully awkward! ahaha!
And..the bathroom is stunning too:)

I love large photographs framed like this, without matting. Somehow I feel more a part of the image.
Very nice! I’d spend hours in this tube…
not to mention how butt-kicking that bathtub is!
I agree, I’ll take the bathtub. the photo creeps me out a little :)
LOVE the bathtub. The photo, however, would freak me out. It’s bad enough that my dog insists on being in the bathroom every time I shower, I don’t need people staring at me, too. ;-)
Great bathroom! Love the copper tub and the cheeky photo!

Haha! I love it! I also love the bath tub. So fun!
Love the bathtub itself!
that tub, wowza!
what gets ME is that gorgeous copper bath tub! It’s to die for!
My roommate and I have found waterproof ways to include art in our bathroom – Blik makes really unique designs that don’t peel off in steam (also they’re quite different than standard framed art work), and we actually have old post cards from Spain (both of us have ties there) which we framed in cheap frames from Target (Le Tarjj if you will) and they do a great job of keeping our sentimental pieces in great shape (plus it makes the bathroom like a cultural experience!)

yeah, laynemarie, it’s a tough call! we have some of our favorite art in our bathroom and luckily it seems ok so far.
I love it! I have some photos and prints that are just PERFECT for my bathrooms but I’m scared to hang them because of the humidity/steam factor. So my bathroom walls are painted amazing colors, but are still bare. :(
Bathroom art always makes me laugh sometimes! Either go classic or be funny like this!! hehe. I love that bathtub too!! =)
That tub is gorgeous!
Love it! My nana once put a photo of her sister in her bathroom because she thought it’d be funny, haha. There is something about having eyes on you in that room… cheeky, indeed!
I love the copper bathtub. So fabulous!
