im oh-so-sorry for my badass talk, but seriously, i dont think its worth even trying to “explain” anything to ignorants – like these anonymous McCain/palin/whatever supporters. i could try, but is it worth my time? no. too bad.
Well said Mary. Well said.
Now we get to sit back and watch everything fall apart.
Hope everyone’s happy!
wow, peppermint. you hope that the anon ron paul supporter gets shot? it’s people like you that really should be shot.
and why should the rich be taxed more? because they work hard for their money and earned what they have, they should be taxed more? wow, that’s fair. how about all those ‘poor’ people who sit on their asses and believe everyone owes them something because their life didn’t turn out right?
this country got the president it deserved.
VOTED FOR OBAMA…!! He rocked the votes last night so gooood! :)
It’s a bit less fun voting absentee but totally worth it.
Hooray for Obama!
Wow, the anger and ignorance on display here from some of you (cough! McCain-Ron Paul supporters cough!) is really quite frightening and kind of sad.
That said, Peppermint, let’s try to elevate the conversation on our side, too, OK?
All I can say is GOD HELP US ALL.
My name is Laura and I voted McCain/Palin. And would do it again in a heartbeat. I’m sick of Obama. Now I have to listen to this idiot’s name for the next 4 years.
Hope you all know what you’ve done. I wonder how you’ll feel when he can’t deliver. Or when our country completely falls apart.
anonymous 7:01, comments like that used to sicken me but now it makes me laugh. ohh..higher taxes for the rich people? boohoo. restrictions for business magnates? oh too bad! i dont know what that strange world in your head is called, but it cant be reality. wake up, it cant be possible that a few uber-people live on the backs of millions of fundless workers.
& about the citizenship. you really screwed even the last bit of your integrity there. are you 9 years old?
go back to bush, go to conquer your iraq & afghanistan and hopefully theyll shoot you both. too bad when people have no brains.
oh & how about informing yourself about what socialism actually is? first think, then talk. and afterwards write! just a clue.
and in case you didnt notice.. Paul is not going to be president any soon.
anyway, BARACK OBAMA IS PRESIDENT! deal with it folks, im off to celebrate.
O-MY-Bama! I can’t get enough of this man and look forward to the change he will make in this country! *a
Congratulations! It’s breathtaking. So happy!
boo. get off the obama bandwagon. why do you all vote for someone whom supports abortion? whom wants to rape small and independent business owners? increase taxes? there is still speculation over whether he’s actually a U.S. citizen or not. [he couldn’t even present a birth certificate.] there will be change…..oh yes. you thought bush was bad? socialism, here we come.
RON PAUL ’08
Congratulations to President Elect Obama, thanks to everyone who took the time to vote, we did it!
my favorite t-shirt! the softest thing you’ll ever touch, i swear.
HE WON!!
YEAH!
i feel so bad that so many will be so disappointed a year from now…nothing changes in politics. the emperor has no clothes on.
Gosh, some of these responses made me so sad…but, I am so hopeful and proudly voted for Obama today!
I also so wish I could vote “NO” on prop8, if only we could all vote to end discrimination.
xo
Melissa
Thank you so much for reminding me. I totally forgot it’s election day.
what if i voted for mccain? did you still want me to vote?
I voted for McCain!
I proudly and excitedly voted for Obama today, and am now awaiting the results with baited breath.
McKenzie, I don’t vote for anyone just because they’re “cool” or “popular” — I vote for the person I think is best qualified for the job and whose values and stance on the issues most closely match my own. In this case, that candidate is most definitely Barack Obama. (But either way, our next president is going to have his work cut out for him.)
And a “yes” vote on 8 is a vote for hate and discrimination. Prop 8 is hateful — vote NO!
Voted…..
Rooot-root-rooting for OBAMA! ;) I voted my fancy off too!
I proudly voted for Obama in VIRGINIA today, a huge swing state! And I saw lots of happy, smiley liberals in a state that used to be solidly red!
GOOOOOOOBAMA!
(psst…McKenzie, if you think people are solely voting for Obama because of his “popularity”, how do you think he GOT to be so popular? And NO NO NO NO on Prop. 8!)

Voted for Obama an hour ago in the swing state of PA and am anxiously waiting for poll results! If McCain/Palin pull this out I will seriously be depressed.
mckenzie-
not voting for either doesn’t help anything. and yes to prop 8? that is just so closed minded and sad.
i’m kind of sad, because although i think this is a historic election, i do not trust either of these men with the fate of america.
love that shirt. Obama 08! I voted proudly today.
An Obama vote in VA from me:) Also submitted my photos to the NYT Polling Place Photo Project….Thank god this day is FINALLY here!
Anne
I proudly voted today for Obama for many his stance on many political issues – not just popularity!
I hope everyone gets a chance to vote today! I had a mail in ballot, so I would like to thank everyone who tood time to stand in those lines! Good Job!
why do you all vote obama? because he’s cool and popular? i vote for neither, i think they both suck. i’ll write in. obama is definately good looking and speaks nicely in public and i’m sure he means everything he says. but why jump on the bandwagon if it’s going nowhere? yes to prop 8!
yay! happy election day! today actually feels a lot like christmas. … the t-shirt is fantastic! i want one, too. i am loving watching the obamania from here! and i second amy, ‘GObama!!!’
Yes to Obama! Such an exciting day!!
Yay!
I can hardly take the suspense. I had to run out and buy craft supplies to distract myself – busy hands to make the time go faster …
I voted Obama today!
obama all the way. i’m anxious and excited all in the same breath! my friend in st. louis who has been poundin’ the beat, volunteering for months was one of a few that met obama a couple weeks ago and had her picture taken with him. she said “he smelled like HOPE” i love it!!!
………….go obama…………..
i proudly voted for McCain today.
it seems everyone here likes obama!!
go obama!!
Go Obama!
I voted early and now I’m bouncing around nervously while I wait for results – I wish election day was a holiday so we could spend the day focusing on nothing but the polls!
Every time the US president is called “the leader of free world” I think to myself then ‘we should vote too’ and I surely wouldn’t pick any republican.
I really like that tee, thanks!
I woke up early today like I was a little kid at Christmas.
I voted at the crack of 7 am (HUGE lines) and am still making phone calls to get out the vote. You can, too – right from your home or office. Just go to barackobama.com to get a list. You’re calling Obama supporters to make sure they know where to vote, etc.
Cuz the fat lady ain’t singing…yet!!
Obama love,
HG
he is an extremely photogenic individual.
and YES, i voted for OBAMA! yay!
and NO on PROP 8 for CA! my friends just had a wonderful wedding, and it’s so nice to see everyone so happy.
peace.

voting for Obama put a kick in my step today.
well done Obama-voters!!!
now let’s hope for the best…
I proudly said yes to Obama early this morning and have been smiling ever since.
This Seattle momma for obama is pacing the floors, too distracted to do anything!!!!!
good luck! i’m crossing my fingers and toes for all you fellows across the pond.
one very emphatic yes to Obama here, and as a Californian, a emphatic No on prop 8!
I definitely said yes to Obama, too!
GObama!!!
yeee! If all goes well my tee will be for pre order this week too! keep your fingers crossed everyone!!
If we could vote over here in London Cricketfamily would be voting for Obama! Interesting to see Adrianna Huffington’s prediction that Sarah Palin would become an ‘extremely popular television host’. She predicted this before she ‘hung herself’ on SNL!
Ooh, I want that tee.
